I have been working at Bakers Delight part-time (less than an year)

    Pros

Very good atmosphere and work environment with easy to work with staff. It is a clean job as you are working with bread and so everything is cleaned extensively. You also get a lot of free food so no need to make lunch ever really as you can literally get $60-80 of free food for every shift.

    Cons

Customers can be abusive sometimes and quite ridiculous with demands but it as expected for a retail position. Sometimes it is hard to jungle multiple customers and train junior staff who are quite incompetent as they are generally only 16.

I worked at Bakers Delight part-time

    Pros

    - Reasonable pay (depending on your age obviously)
    - Good hours, was always rostered on equally during a week
    - Experience (good for when you're a teen and need that first job)
    - Free bread (I got fat tbh)

    Cons

    - No communication between workers and management resulting in miscommunication and people being terminated
    - Was constantly confused for a girl who was always late and ended up with her punishments
    - No opportunities for advancement; Advancement was always given to those who didn't deserve it and couldn't do their job. Was constantly rejected to become a Senior when I was already doing all the Senior jobs.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Please listen to your employees.

    Pros

Graham and Lesley are lovely people and to have worked for them fells like an honour. The CTO and Program Manger make you day enjoyable and give you the inspiration to do a great job. They are always approachable and I miss my working with the IS team. I wish Bakers Delight success and hope one day I can do it again when I move back to Australia.

    Cons

I can't say any bad words about working for Bakers Delight. I enjoyed each nod every day.

I have been working at Bakers Delight

    Pros

They are very flexible with hours and don't really mind how many holiday I go on
    It's busy but not taxin.
    Good people to work with

    Cons

Can be a bit boring if it's a quiet day
Pay isn't great and we don't get public holiday or weekend rates

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Sometimes my manager doesn't actually do any managing and it would be better if she would actually tell people things to do because otherwise the jobs just stack up and people don't bother doing them
