I worked at Bakersfield Association for Retarded Citizens
Pros – It is a non pressure job if you are a job coach for the clients, and they are usually very receptive to you (the clients that is) For the low pay you at least get health and dental coverage and the non-profit equivalent of a 401k p[an.
Cons – Low pay and lack of communication throughout the culture. Often the right hand doesnt know what the left hand is doing!
Advice to Senior Management – Communicate better between yourselves and staff.
No, I would not recommend this company to a friend
