I have been working at Balchem full-time

    Pros

Balchem is a growing company that is innovative and has diverse business units. The CEO is constantly looking for opportunities to grow the business segments. Great coworkers, flexibility on work schedule when needed, opportunity to advance from within, dynamic atmosphere, and decent pay. Great benefits.

    Cons

As with most business today, the work life balance could use some attention. As the business grows, the workforce does not grow as quickly. Employee training is not as important as it has been at other companies I have worked for and could use improvement.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Consider paying attention to the work-life balance more as well as investing in employee training. This is especially important as the company expands and becomes larger. Investing in your people shows that you value them and their efforts.

I worked at Balchem full-time (more than 8 years)

    Pros

Great pay. Good job. Rewarded for all your efforts. The leadership is very knowledgeable. The company takes safety seriously and listens to ideas from employees.

    Cons

Dealing with hazardous chemicals. Even though its a hazardous job, the pay is great and the company provides training for the hazards of the job.

Union job but the union really doesn't help much.

I have been working at Balchem full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

Most of the management is pretty laid back, there are a few bad apples though.

    Cons

Pay union dues that really does nothing to better wages.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Positive incentives would be nice for the workers. When people work hard to increase production because management is in a bind, they should not be 'rewarded' by taking away break times.

    Doesn't Recommend
    Neutral Outlook
    Disapproves of CEO
