    Pros

Good, if somewhat expensive, benefits. A company that is increasing in size and looking for continuous improvements to help attract and keep good employees. Fast growth means some dramatic restructuring, but once you get past the growing pains, it's all to set up for future success. Enough opportunities for growth, given the company's size, if you are a hard-working, team player with a positive attitude. New office building is very nice.

    Cons

The plans for growth coupled with a vertical leadership structure results in a lot of extra projects and work for a few key people, instead of better utilizing and challenging the entire team. Otherwise, not much more or less than any other company.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Allow more flexible schedules, lighten up on the dress code, review the salary and benefits against the industry.

A good place to work that could be great

    Pros

401(k), flexible schedule (if approved), fitness center, beautiful building, community service, and the building clears out by 5:15.

    Cons

Compensation is below market, especially for a company of our size. The corporate culture is extremely conservative and traditional. There are a lot of energetic young people whose voices are silenced by a vertical corporate structure. The company spends a lot of time and energy in its internship program, but puts forth little effort to get to know its actual employees. There has also been a lot of current movement, people getting fired and new management being farmed in from other companies. There does not appear to be room for upper level movement, since talent is being farmed in rather than promoted from within.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Invest in your current employees, who often feel silenced and overlooked for promotions. Rewarding longevity with an annual gift certificate is a token way of making employees feel complacent, not rewarded. Given credit where credit is due and reward outstanding performance with serious and meaningful career opportunities.

    Felt trapped

    Former Employee - Anonymous Employee

    Pros

The company moved into a nicer building with a workout facility. Also had a good volunteering network that people actually participated in.

    Cons

The work environment was suffocating. The doors in the company were locked at all times. If you forgot your ID badge, you could actually get stuck somewhere until someone found you. The performance is very metrics based. Everything you do is monitored and analyzed to the second. Creativity and finding more efficient ways of working are frowned upon.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Get rid of all the management and get fresh ideas.

    Pros

Generous Christmas Bonuses & 401K Matching.

    Cons

Very low salaries, high insurance premiums, lots of gossip and cliquey crowds. This company would rather hire those with degrees and no knowledge, than promote after years of service from within. Extremely micro-managed. Graded every month depending on department, the supervisors are more like jail wardens.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Consider personal growth within yourself before even thinking you could be a good supervisor. This entire company needs restructured from ground up. Mr. Miller would be disappointed in entirety.

    Pros

Mid-level management and staff generally are passionate about quality of service they produce. The benefits plan was the best I had ever seen. Office physical environment generally was good.

    Cons

Totally political, fashion-driven management. If someone wrote a magazine article on a business plan, that just "has to be" the thing to do. There also was pressure to misrepresent project status to upper management or to managers of other departments. This sort of pressure eliminates trust among business units and service groups.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Focus on the product and your people and forget about the latest fashion in management trends.

    Pros

    Awesome health insurance
    Generous Holiday bonus

    Cons

    Conservative management philosophy
No traces of any interest in true employee development or keeping up morale
Micro managing stresses you out & creates animosity
    Piddly raises

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Grab a dictionary and look up morale
Loosen up and let the workplace be fun at times

    Pros

    -Non stressful environment
    -Good Perks
-Free parking and close to downtown

    Cons

    -People are too negative
-Ran by older generation that did not want to stay with technology
-Not good long term career opportunities. After a while, you are just a cog in the machine waiting for someone to leave and create an opening.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Take more advice from the front line staff. The communication is very top-down. Even ironic at times when senior management would tell employees about the "culture" that we need to maintain as employees.
