ProsProjects are very interesting and colleagues are friendly, also smart. The company have great leadears in construction, engineering, and business.

ConsSome people travel a lot and move a lot. And some projects can become very challenging at some point.

Advice to Senior ManagementConsider work from home 1 day a week.

Good company -- west region not so great

    Anonymous Employee (Current Employee)

ProsThe company as a whole is progressive. The company as whole embraces technology, new ideas, training, etc. Large international company that has a culture of thinking out of the box and being innovative.

ConsUnderstand this negative review is for the Western region only. No work/life balance -- no overtime. All salaried employees are exempt -- even low paying jobs. The western region is made up of two very small companies that were acquired in the past 10 years. They do not collaborate and are highly competitive -- each thinks they are better than the other. What does that mean to the employees? Lack of respect for management. Many of the legacy employees have "big" titles but not the education or experience to fill the shoes of those titles. It is a good old boys club. I have actually heard them say "we should have this person (female) to participate in interviews and we can show how diverse we are". Unfortunately they are hiring many experienced employees who only become frustrated because of the leaderships lack of knowledge and experience. They talk about collaboration, communication, etc. -- but don't practice these behaviors. My hope has been that things would change. I don’t see that happening until they move some people out of executive positions and move execs that know the area and have the contacts into those positions. This is only for the Western Region – it is the blind leading the knowledgeable and not open to learning and sharing information. People have used my ideas and taken credit for them. That’s just sad on so many levels.

Advice to Senior ManagementStop being afraid that someone may know something more than you -- that's what collaboration is -- sharing information to create innovative projects, processes, procedures, etc. Most of you have not worked for a large international company -- be open to the experience. It's a great ride. Stop treating women as though they are all administrative assistants. Also stop having a double-standards.

    Hectic Takeover

    Assistant Project Manager (Current Employee)
    Tampa, FL

ProsGood management team, direct & concise business plan with a value for employees. They business unit leaders valued honesty, integrity, and hard work. The business sectors worked well together to prevent overlaps in communications with clients.

ConsShut down business sectors without warning and terminate some employees but yet leave a hand picked team to close down an office/region/business unit. Unfortunately the business unit leaders were unable to reward the values purportedly promoted by upper management, creating a lack of motivation in personnel.

Advice to Senior ManagementFollow your own advice and reward the stellar employees and terminate the the unqualified / inept employees.
