    Pros

Easy to get a job in this company

    Cons

They exploit employees from other countries, they make use of your immigration status. a terrible company to join. a lot of politics. games division is going down and systems has screwed up people.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

I worked at Bally Technologies full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Has some great coworkers, ability to work form home as needed. Industry leader with potential if they start to listen to their employees and see what talent they have working for them

    Cons

Always stuck in a box, they talk about stepping outside of your job functions to help others but when you actually do this you are told that is not your place. They are losing talented people because they are not allowed to express their ideas without getting shot down. At review time I was given specific goals to accomplish in a time frame and was told that I would be promoted, goals completed and time came and went with no promotion.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

foster the talent you have, you are losing good people because the is no where to grow and the work is not appreciated

I have been working at Bally Technologies full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

Reasonable Salary & Benefits, meaning just above average. Stable job if you perform well. Best one currently in gaming industry.

    Cons

Some biased management. All ways work, work, work.... not much fun...

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Improve word-life balance.

    Pros

Benefits, but that can be outsourced. HR watch your back.

    Cons

Toxic work environment. Don't work here! Management is clueless. Execs make over a million $ per year and you suck in their minds. JC, you need to rethink your strategy because you are anathema in the rest of gaming.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Get rid of JC. He is cancer!

I have been working at Bally Technologies full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Stable company, leading technology with some talented individuals working at the lower levels. Hopefully the acquisition leadership added will help with the past legal issues.

    Cons

Growing too fast, top level leadership have questionable ethics, all locations are treated differently with no overall company goal or culture. Promotions and increases go to those in the "in" crowds. No work/life balance. Many personal relationships fueling the business decisions. Comp and promotions not consistent among all locations. Good employees are worked hard and there seem to be no concern when they leave.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    New management needed!

I worked at Bally Technologies full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

My coworkers were awesome, we had lot's of new technology to use and learn, my specific section spent money on labs (although I know this wasn't the case in other parts of the company).

    Cons

No career movement unless you're a "favorite". When I was initially hired, I was promised a promotion after one year. Needless to say, that never happened after numerous years and I'm in the same position I was in when I first came on board. Bally expects employees to be available to them at all times. Management also feels you owe them something because they hired you. There isn't clear direction in moving forward as a whole.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Your employees are your most valuable resource. Measuring their worth goes beyond a tangible number on an accounting statement. My promotion was delayed for months (and still is which ultimately led to my resignation) due to "tough times" in the organization, but every VP (seriously, every. single. one.) was promoted to Senior VP.

I have been working at Bally Technologies full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

Bally is the industry leader in Gaming Systems and Tables. Very stable company, no fear of the company going under. The Sr. Management encourages promotion from within, so you can advance your career quite well if you're hungry!

    Cons

The expectation is that you get the job done, regardless of how many hours it takes to succeed... this can lead to a strain in the work-life balance. Also, the downside of them promoting from within, is that they don't have to pay as high of salaries to those who are being promoted.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Pay competitive salaries to the people who you are depending on!

    Pros

Great, stable management. Customer centric, very approachable, humble, down to earth management.

    Cons

Tough customer base. Many times dealing with unreasonable customers is really a pain.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Continue with current style of managing.
