I worked at Banco Popular Dominicano full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Corporate structure, solid background, brand awareness, IT platform (software/app) mid-low, customer services (could be better), operations departments (sucks), business units (corporate department is the only team player)

    Cons

Promotions are based on family last name or relationship with top executives in the firm. They have a lot of disqualified employees that have attended random universities/colleges in D.R. But that's what you get when you only pay pennies you get only monkeys.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

When a high net-worth individuals visit a corporate office or branch he wants to talk with the Manager in charge. Usually a young well educated manager, someone he/she can build a business relationship. Not a random guy from UASD, APEC, UTESA or others.
