    Pros

    Easy work environment.
    Travel
    Company Vehicle
Gas Card - Probably the one thing that has kept me here as long as have.

    Cons

    Low Pay
    No support
    No training
Will throw you under the bus. If you expect them to stick up for you then you are mistaken.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Get to know your employees. Been here a while and have yet to speak with barely 4 people other than those in my territory.

I worked at Bancsource full-time (more than a year)

    Pros

Training on various equipment, company car and gas card, miscellaneous expenses reimbursed, work independently fixing things and setting your own schedule.

    Cons

-The things you fix are almost always crappy relics that someone is too cheap to replace and no other companies want to take care of.
-They WAY understaff, so you'll be working every day and when someone in your area is sick you'll be doing the work of three by yourself.
-The pay seems good at first if you're coming from a poor area in the middle of the country, but they never give raises despite always wanting more more more.
    -Spam email from the owners.
-They send out emails saying how great the company is doing but when you need special parts or it's time for a raise WHOOPS there's just not enough money.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Doesn't matter they don't listen.

    Frustrating company to work for.

I have been working at Bancsource full-time (more than 8 years)

    Pros

Gain lots of experience on working on various types of equipment; other than it's better than not having a job at all, there are no other Pros.

    Cons

Mediocre benefits; company doesn't match 1 thin dime on 401K, expensive health insurance, unrealistic expectations of employees, no employee reviews, management's first response is to write employees up and ask questions later; bad leadership; management tends to lead by terror and threats of losing your job or getting a salary cut instead of encouragement and mentoring, they sign contracts with customers promising service until 10:00pm at night in some cases, then come down hard on you for getting overtime. Lack of communication between departments turns things into a 3 ring circus every day when trying to find answers to problems, the office staff obviously hates their jobs as much as the field personnel do, as it comes across in "attitude" on the telephone from the call center and tech support, when traveling out of town for business they allow ridiculously small amounts for food: $10.00 for breakfast, $12.00 for Lunch, $18.00 for dinner and the amount of paperwork and hoops you have to jump through to get reimbursed. Overtime requires lengthy explanations and redundant proof. You spend more time talking about what you did to a machine versus what was actually done, illogical and pointless internal company software.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Communicate with and to your employees more. If you want to retain the brightest and the best you're going to have to be willing to pay them more and stop the war between sales and service. Stop being cheap and spending a dollar to save a nickel. Spend some money and upgrade your databases and call paging system.

I have been working at Bancsource full-time (more than a year)

    Pros

Decent beginning wage, weekends off (depending on what areas/equipment is assigned), company car, gas card, laptop, phone, get paid 40 Hrs whether or not you work. You work from home. Get paid to drive to and from work.

    Cons

They will never give you a raise, health benefits are expensive, no 401k, no real chance to move up, every call is the most important call, so they'll ask you to move mountains and do them a favor and get it even though you are done for the day. Or if someone is out you have to drive ridiculously far to cover that area. And that can happen anytime. Than when you do all that and pay your dues, they quickly forget all that when you ask for a raise more than a year later.

ALOT of far driving too. Gets old after awhile. Another thing too many cooks in kitchen so to speak. Somebody will drop the ball somewhere and a customer is not happy so you'll get contacted by everyone to drop whatever you're doing no matter where you are, and run and fix the issue. So that leads to a lot of duplicate driving and having to go back the opposite way just to come back later.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Try to appreciate the ones who help satisfy the customer. Don't be so tight on raises, make it easier to advance. Offer some sort of retirement. better benefits.

I have been working at Bancsource full-time (more than a year)

    Pros

Plenty of different types of equipment to work on if your willing to learn BancSource is willing to train. Plenty of freedom, if you like driving a lot this is defiantly the job for you. We all work as a team if someone needs help there are plenty of people who will drop what they are doing to give you a hand. Company provides car, company gas card for company use only, cell phone, laptop, tablet. Tools Provided.

    Cons

PTO if you don't use it you loose it, PTO does not roll over to the next year... Company cars are very small for the load they ask us to carry. GPS trackers in cars. Pays us for FLM but expects SLM.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Pay us what we are worth getting paid FLM pay when I do both FLM and SLM.

I have been working at Bancsource full-time (more than 10 years)

    Pros

Bancsource has a great business concept of being a great service company for financial and non financial equipment. Bancsource has the personnel and proven track record to exceed customer expectations.
Bancsource has transitioned from a item processing equipment repair company to a service company for all equipment.

    Cons

Changes in industry has made the last few years challenging for personnel, training to support changes, pay and benefits. Bancsource continues to make adjustments to improve.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Empower personnel to make decisions at all levels.

I worked at Bancsource full-time (less than a year)

    Pros

If you enjoy banging your head against a wall, having management ignore your escalations until its too late and then blaming you, and relying on the advice of their "experts" who will advise you to replace some random part just to get rid of you because they can't or don't have the expertise or skill to help you diagnose the actual problem.

    Cons

Technicians are pressured about open calls when there aren't any parts to fill orders. Parts you do get, often are bad and create additional problems and wasted time and trips. Brinks got rid of their techs and outsourced the repair work to Bancsource: but without giving Bancsource technicians the ability or access to its database of customers configurations and settings. Techs are forced into guessing a customers settings, and end up making many repeat trips to reconfigure settings.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Appreciate employees who have high standards and show initiative. Value the input of those who take the time to find the solution instead of "pass the buck" type employees perfectly content to go to the same site every other day, reboot, and never solving the actual problem when they close out the call. Find some competent staff for your Human Resource Department.

I worked at Bancsource full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Nice shirts. Adequate training was available. Pay was always on time. Vans were kept in good mechanical condition.

    Cons

Work/life balance is out of whack, unrealistic expectations
Management out of touch for what it's like for employees in the field or they don't care, I couldn't tell which.
Don't expect much of a Christmas bonus no matter how hard you work. Had issues with vendors not getting paid so your parts you ordered wouldn't show up. Company had trouble making ends meet due to paying penalties to NCR. Encouraged cheating on NCR certification tests, handing out answers to tests. Dishonest culture.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Senior management should ride with a tech at random a couple times a year and see what his life is like. Don't ask managers to pick techs.
