I have been working at Bancsource full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Plenty of different types of equipment to work on if your willing to learn BancSource is willing to train. Plenty of freedom, if you like driving a lot this is defiantly the job for you. We all work as a team if someone needs help there are plenty of people who will drop what they are doing to give you a hand. Company provides car, company gas card for company use only, cell phone, laptop, tablet. Tools Provided.

    Cons

PTO if you don't use it you loose it, PTO does not roll over to the next year... Company cars are very small for the load they ask us to carry. GPS trackers in cars. Pays us for FLM but expects SLM.

    Advice to Management

Pay us what we are worth getting paid FLM pay when I do both FLM and SLM.

I worked at Bancsource full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

The people are fantastic, they work hard but have a great time too. I enjoyed working with banks

    Cons

As the banking industry evolves so do the requirements and pressures of companies like this one. They have to adapt or else.

I have been working at Bancsource full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Bancsource has a great business concept of being a great service company for financial and non financial equipment. Bancsource has the personnel and proven track record to exceed customer expectations. Bancsource has transitioned from a item processing equipment repair company to a service company for all equipment.

    Cons

Changes in industry has made the last few years challenging for personnel, training to support changes, pay and benefits. Bancsource continues to make adjustments to improve.

    Advice to Management

Empower personnel to make decisions at all levels.

I have been working at Bancsource full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Decent beginning wage, weekends off (depending on what areas/equipment is assigned), company car, gas card, laptop, phone, get paid 40 Hrs whether or not you work. You work from home. Get paid to drive to and from work.

    Cons

They will never give you a raise, health benefits are expensive, no 401k, no real chance to move up, every call is the most important call, so they'll ask you to move mountains and do them a favor and get it even though you are done for the day. Or if someone is out you have to drive ridiculously far to cover that area. And that can happen anytime. Than when you do all that and pay your dues, they quickly forget all that when you ask for a raise more than a year later. ALOT of far driving too. Gets old after awhile. Another thing too many cooks in kitchen so to speak. Somebody will drop the ball somewhere and a customer is not happy so you'll get contacted by everyone to drop whatever you're doing no matter where you are, and run and fix the issue. So that leads to a lot of duplicate driving and having to go back the opposite way just to come back later.

    Advice to Management

Try to appreciate the ones who help satisfy the customer. Don't be so tight on raises, make it easier to advance. Offer some sort of retirement. better benefits.

    I worked at Bancsource part-time

    Pros

Good pay and benefits, especially for a part-time job.

    Cons

Poor employee morale, not noted for stability. Commute times between calls were excessive.

    Advice to Management

    Make demands on technicians reasonable.

    I worked at Bancsource full-time

    Pros

You get a company van, fuel card, and pretty much can write your own schedule of activites. You get to see a lot of country as you drive from one place to another. And if you like the overtime you can write your own paycheck pretty much every two weeks. Management never bothers you, they let you do your thing.

    Cons

Training could be considerably better, especially on sorters and tube systems. Not a fan of GPS's in the vehicles either but I understand why they do it.

    Advice to Management

Training, training, and training. This is somewhat being addressed with the re-structuring going on there. And don't go the route that one of your competitors did and change the culture where people dread going to work each day. I already have PTSD symptoms working at one of those places.

    Pros

LOTS of overtime if you don't mind keeping long hours.

    Cons

The overtime is mandatory. Hours are are completely unpredictable. At least every other weekend is on call. Lots of long distance driving. Areas are undermanned.

I worked at Bancsource full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

You get a company car, a gas card, cell phone, and a laptop. You don't have to go to an office and get to spend your day doing whatever if you don't have a call.

    Cons

Driving long miles per call, some over 120 miles one way. Expected to do first line and second line work but get paid chump change! Upper management [district managers, area team leads, and higher than that] are absolutely rude, ungrateful, and make you feel like sh it when you are working your a ss off. There is no christmas bonus, no respect or equality! ** WAS SPECIFICALLY TOLD THEY ONLY WANT TO HIRE EX MILITARY PERSONAL AND WILL NOT LOOK AT ANYONE ELSE** bull sh it company.

    Advice to Management

R E S P E C T! Give it! People arent going to want to work for you if you continue to be the money hungry, rude ass, ungrateful pieces! Acknowledge the people who make your company work!

    Negative Outlook

I worked at Bancsource full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Nice shirts. Adequate training was available. Pay was always on time. Vans were kept in good mechanical condition.

    Cons

Work/life balance is out of whack, unrealistic expectations Management out of touch for what it's like for employees in the field or they don't care, I couldn't tell which. Don't expect much of a Christmas bonus no matter how hard you work. Had issues with vendors not getting paid so your parts you ordered wouldn't show up. Company had trouble making ends meet due to paying penalties to NCR. Encouraged cheating on NCR certification tests, handing out answers to tests. Dishonest culture.

    Advice to Management

Senior management should ride with a tech at random a couple times a year and see what his life is like. Don't ask managers to pick techs.
