    Pros

Great team of people to work with in the Chicago office

    Cons

The managing director was a jerk. Treated people horribly. He was finally let go for treating people so poorly.

I have been working at Bank of America part-time for more than a year

    Pros

Amazing Benefits. Tuition reimbursement is payed out really fast.

    Cons

Cutbacks are making jobs in the banking center more and more demanding with no real incentives to perform well.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

The bank is cutting jobs in the banking centers but still expect customer service scores to be top notch, scores which are based in customer wait time. You can't expect a very limited staff help every customer in a timely manner. You can't expect tellers to meet the referral goals if there is only one banker to refer to. Happy employees make for happy customer interaction and you can't expect employees to be happy if asking more of them with out additional compensation.

I have been working at Bank of America full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Great company to start working for fresh out of college.

    Cons

They are really focused on sales. If you suck at sales, don't even waste your time applying. Not much opportunity to grow within the company unless you get along well with the managers and CMMs.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Show a little more empathy for your employees and don't be so hard on them for small mistakes.

I have been working at Bank of America full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Working from home has its benefits. Lots of flexibility in work schedule and ability to drive projects without constant micromanaging from higher-ups. The people I work with are incredibly smart and talented - it's a great company to develop your professional skill set and technical skills. There are a lot of resources to develop your understanding of the company and the industry as a whole.

    Cons

Working from home also has its downfalls. It can be very isolating to only have work interactions through technology. There have also been significant employee lay-offs over the past few years - doesn't help with feeling of overall job security. I'm also doubtful that I will be able to move forward in my career path as quickly as I had been planning.

    Pros

Salary is great and the experience is priceless: you understand why the problems that are destroying the world-economy exist.

    Cons

Hours, RED TAPE, career mobility is minimal unless you plan on staying there for 99485857 years...

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Grow up, and realize that most of your new-hires are, well, simply smarter than you.

I worked at Bank of America full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

BOA offers great benefits, friendly co-workers and excellent focus on community service. Continuous employment growth and development opportunity. Most upper manager is knowledgeable of the industry and are willing to help their team grow.

    Cons

The biggest con is that you cannot hold a part-time job without notifying upper management. A lot of the managers micro manage the employees so you don't get an opportunity to truly work independently.
