People...well, some of them, but not alot of anything else.
Cons
Feel treated like a puppet. Absolutely no freedom to act autonomously. Feel like need permission to get up out of chair, or anything else.
Advice to Senior Management
Treat people like professionals......not like puppets.
Pros
Bank of America encourages diversity amongst its employees and the ceiling is as high as you want. There are always opportunities to fulfill leadership roles.
Cons
On the downside, having a diploma does not matter at certain levels within the company because they allow people to pursue careers with the bank without a diploma.
Advice to Senior Management
I have had good leadership and terrible leadership, allowing a comparison of managers who choose to do the bare minimum and those who go above and beyond to help you build your career.
Pros
Paternity leave, great benefits, vacation 3wks, sick days, personal days, education assistance, day care assistance, public transportation assistance.
Cons
Management doesn't get it. They are loosing veteran employees that know their job well because of the low morale, and frankly are not doing anything about it. They're shiring new people that will take a long time to train and do things the right way. Although I think that at the very top of the management structure they are looking for a good change, mid to low level management needs to be remove and new faces need to be put in place with new ideas and the motivation to get this company moving in the right direction. Micromanaging will only go so far. People are treated like a number not as humans. They need to get all the Countrywide management out.
Advice to Senior Management
People have feelings and need to be treated as such. Employees are not robots! They need to find a different way to rate the performance of MLOs. The numbers in the reports being used are full of errors and are basing their decisions on that. Compensation, schedules, vacation allotment, etc.. etc.. are being base on these erroneous reports bringing employees morale to an all time low...What upsets my teammates and I the most is that management knows this very well and don't do anything about it. They just want to collect their paychecks...........
