    Pros

Bank of America consistently treats their employees with decency, honesty, and fairness. There are a number of training courses (via telephone, personal, and online) that help to enhance my skill set and make me a better loan officer. In the last 5 years of working with the Bank, I have been more than pleased with time off and the major benefits. There is tuition reimbursement, child care assistance, paid time off, fidelity financial advice engines, great health, medical, and dental. I have no complaints!

    Cons

Not one thing that I can think of. I love my job!

    Advice to Management

My Senior Management is the best in their field.

    Pros

If you are interested in the financial industry, Bank of America is one of the most stable banks in our current economy. The focus within the company is to improve upon customer satisfaction as well as the satisfaction and happiness of its employees. If your looking to be trained and molded into a better employee, and even to be trained how to better handle your own finances the BOA is for you. However, if you do not enjoy someone over your shoulder critiquing your work or if you don't enjoy having to meet certain goals in your job performance then you need not apply. BOA is constantly trying to move forward as company, so if you do not move along with it and adapt quickly you WILL be left behind.

    Cons

In days like these where people are struggling to make ends meet, you do have to face angry frustrated customers on a day to day basis. Handling other peoples finances does literally mean you are handling their lively hood. So if you make a mistake...you've lost a customer's trust or the customer itself. If that happens well you can forget about making your sales goals for the day, which then translates into no bonus for you and possible termination. Very miticulous work

    Advice to Management

Keep training your team and remember what it was like to be a teller. You can stare at figures and set up goals for them all day long but your team will not achieve them if a) they are not properly trained and informed or b) the goals are set too high for the market.

    Pros

Insurance and benefits package is exceptional with this company.

    Cons

During an economic time such as what we are in; it is hard to get people to feel comfortable with this company currently which makes works difficult sometimes.

    Advice to Management

I believe that the level of leadership that is handed out to all employees is very fair. You are able to become a leader in areas that you are strong in and Bank of America believes in what they call "360-degree coaching" which means when someone does something incorrectly you counsel them on the correct way to do this task, no matter what their rank.

    Pros

The Bank had tons of internal opportunities for growth and the bank's focus on inclusive meritocracy made those opportunities attainable.

    Cons

The Q4 push was always a bit difficult, but understandable.

    Advice to Management

Modify the Selling the Bank of America Way process by listening to the voice of the Personal Banker.

    Pros

Great benefits, managers are very respectful to associates, plenty of opportunity for growth within the company if you are willing.

    Cons

Pay could be a little bit better. Other than this there isnt much more to be negative about the company.

    Advice to Management

I would say that based on what I have heard from some other associates, do not let favoritism outweigh performance when it comes to promotion/advancement selection.
