I have been working at Bank of America

    Pros

Good benefits including 401k match, paid vacations and sick days etc, even for part time employees. Flexible and work with school schedule. Good starting pay.

    Cons

Constant changes in the company are hard to keep up with. Tellers don't get bonuses and aren't paid enough for all the responabilites that they are giveb. Very hard to have a life outside of work. Can be very stressful at times .

I worked at Bank of America

    Pros

I had 20-years with BofA where I was able to thrive and consistently advance into more challenging positions with better pay.

    Cons

Those opportunities began to vanish as the layoffs began. I watched my colleagues on-by-one get let go with their workloads falling on the remaining team. I get a title and band level promotion w/pay increase and was laid off months later. Never had a performance review without an "exceeds expectations" and I was still let go. Their telecommuting policy changes virtually eliminated me from a number of positions for which I was fulled qualified.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Management needs to be open as much as possible as to the forecast of potential layoffs affecting their direct reports. It's pretty tough nowadays finding a job where you can maintain your salary range, especially if the employee has worked their way up in the company. At least give then a head start to finding another position within the company, if possible.
