Bank of America Teller:   (Current Employee)

Pros

its a job that can get you by if your going to school, its easy, and depending where you work the workers are the only thing that makes work better.

Cons

its a 9-5 job, goals are ridiculous high, rude customer service, low lowwww pay and expects you to do everything and anything.

Advice to Senior Management

the only way your workers are going to want to do a better job is if they treat them well as well.

Bank of America Senior Teller in Florence, SC:   (Current Employee)

Pros

Bank of America has some of the best benefits in the business. It offers pretty good health care and retirement, employee support and vacation time. However, these should not be replacements for good old fashion salary compensation.

Cons

Associates are grossly underpaid with the promise of bonuses to suppliment the salary. Often, these bonuses don't "cut the mustard".

Advice to Senior Management

Pay us what we are worth because we are the face of the company.

2) Excellent salaries in comparison to other banks
3) Strong support for teleworking

Cons

1) Lack of work-life balance

4) Poor medical benefits

Advice to Senior Management

Establish a strong senior leadership team and stick to it - stop moving key managers around to new roles every six months

Bank of America Sales Service Specialist in Springfield, MO:   (Current Employee)

Pros

**Started out as a part-time teller and have quickly advanced. **Great job for college students. **Excellent Benefits-Health, Dental, Vision, 401k, Pension, Tuition/Adoption/Childcare Reimbursement---all with even just a part-time status. **In my geographic area, the pay is excellent, other banks don't even come close.

Cons

Always changing, if you think you know something, just wait...it will be different tomorrow.

Advice to Senior Management

Remember the 'little people'. Banking Centers and Customer Service Reps. are the main holders of interaction with our customers, and the customer is the core support of Bank of America.

Bank of America Teller Operations Specialist in Upland, CA:   (Current Employee)

Pros

Easy work , low stress

Cons

Carrot and a stick as far as pay. I started as teller then sr teller (no raise) then TOS and got a whole 1 Dollar raise! What a waste of time. 2/3 more work for one dollar. If you think about it, I got a pay cut for my work.

Advice to Senior Management

Management is no help since they've already proven that they like being taken advantage of.

Bank of America Anonymous in Scottsdale, AZ:   (Past Employee - 2009)

Pros

Good benefits and nice time off after a couple of years of service also having those bank holidays off was very nice

Cons

Management was so distant from their employees and the location I worked at was one giant factory enviorment parking was tough sometimes

Advice to Senior Management

Bridge the Gap between mamagement and employees. Try to make the working locations a bit more personal and not so drab

Bank of America Anonymous:   (Current Employee)

Pros

-It's a good place to have on your resume if you ever want to go to business school or just a better paying job at a different company.
-My team was great to work with.

Cons

-Pay could be higher.
-If you're looking to get paid like other investment banks, you can forget it.
-It's hard to move from one specialized division to another.

Advice to Senior Management

Great experience overall. Pay could be higher. Wish we were allowed to have mentors in other divisions. At the same time, all this is to be expected from working at a corporation.

Bank of America Teller in Palm Desert, CA:   (Past Employee - 2008)

Pros

Fun environment if you are a people person and are not easily upset/bothered by rude customers...

Cons

Can get really repetitive and management will pressure you to sell bank products to customers....pay sucks (8.50) for what they expect of you. I didn't stay long enough to learn about promotional opportunities.

Advice to Senior Management

I never had issues with management at my branch...just realize most people don't care to upgrade their service/open new accounts when they are just coming to make a deposit or cash a check.

Bank of America Fraud Analyst:   (Current Employee)

Pros

The Health Scheme is good, Excellent place to work if you've never worked anywhere else and know no better....

Cons

A bit like being in a factory - a lot of rules, a bit like being back at school

Advice to Senior Management

Listen better to employees - they've got brains and experience as well....
