I have been working at Bank of America full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

Great benefits, generous vacation. Can be a fun place to work when times are good. Very diverse employee population.

    Cons

Workloads can be high making it tough to meet each customers expectations. Negative media attention causes many customers to take out frustrations on employees even leading to death threats for some who handled loan modifications. Processes constantly changing causing disconnects between lines of business.

I have been working at Bank of America full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Being a Fortune 500 company, BoA offers plenty of room for growth if you learn the corporate structure and work to set yourself apart from the herd.

    Cons

Production Based. You can begin to feel like just another body on a large plantation if you get stuck in certain paths (customer service, call center, teller, etc.), but once you break free from that congestion (several years of crazy hours), it can be clear skies.

Also don't expect the best schedule to start... when it comes to hours worked and holiday time off (blame it on seniority); which isn't so bad once you earn seniority yourself.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

(Continue to) Recognize the hard work of dedicated associates; we all sacrifice time away from our families to ensure the company functions smoothly. I am very grateful for the mentors and supervisors who noticed my value as a person and employee and encouraged my growth.
