    Pros

    -Benefits. That's literally the only pro.

    Cons

    -Almost no training. How am I supposed to handle peoples bank accounts with two weeks worth of computer training?
    -The whole company is intoxicated by a facade of b/s, see mission statement. A lot of employees let themselves be sucked into it as well. The bottom line - BoA only wants rich clients, and the only focus is profit. That's it. Stop acting like BoA cares about "diversity" and "power to the people" or whatever else crap.
    -Middle management is absolutely useless.

    Pros

    - A few leaders in my department were great (not the norm)

    Cons

    - downsizing
    - no career paths communicated to employees
    - lack of trust in senior leaders
    - lack of transparency
    - not living up to core values

    Advice to Management

    Take a step back, go back to your core values, make sure your senior leaders are living up to the values.

    They say they will help you advance your career but they do everything to keep you in your current role.They are very unorganized and cut throat.

    Management was friendly,yet not always helpful

    This is aa incorrect title. It should be Sales to Service. Customer Service Rep is required to sell another credit card, Balance Transfer or Direct Deposit on each and every inbound call. Many cardholders are upset and feel pressured to get another BOA credit card everytime they call in for a service call. Associate is told to max out cardholders card when there is a request for a Balance Transfer/Direct Deposit, resulting in a negative effect on their Fico score. Many cardholders do not understand how payments are applied, and in reality do not get a true 0 % on these transfers. Rather than distort the truth, and hurt the cardholder, I made sure they had a full understanding of what they where getting into. Consequently my "numbers" suffered. We are told that calls are randon, this is not true, they have the ability to route the calls, which may negatively affect the associate......Extremely HIGH Turnover, my class of 28 ended with 3 people including myself making it for a year. New Classes every month - good luck new hires, you will need it. Schedule can be changed at any moment...Goal setting not realistic, management input on how to achieve goals, always the same, never tailored to the individual.... Beware

    Pros

    It's such a big company that you might be able to move to a different job once you become completely fed up with your current one.

    Cons

    Everyone's total pay continues to slide drastically. The Bank is firing people every year, so everyone is looking over their shoulder just trying to survive. Within the technology organization, the Bank cares more about its diversity image and its shackling control policies than it cares about building innovative solutions.

    Advice to Management

    Stop cutting everyone's total pay. Be race- and gender-blind when making hiring and promotion decisions. Deal with hardships with transparency rather than vacuous spin.
