I have been working at Bank of America part-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Great benefits especially for college students, as long as I kept my grades up BofA would refund me up to $2500 every quarter. Not bad for a part time job.

    Cons

They push for too much sales, felt guilty selling credit cards to freshmans at colleges.

    Pros

Very supportive, positive place to work. Management in the mortgage department committed to help sales staff succeed.

    Cons

Confusion & knee jerk reactions to small market changes. They hired 250 mortgage professionals in Jacksonville, interest rates ticked up less than .5% and they eventually let more than half of the sales force go.

    Advice to Management

Think longer term and get out of the mentality that there needs to be an average salary for each position. Set a commission schedule & stick to it even when sales are at their peak. Plan for small market downturns by ramping up marketing.

I worked at Bank of America full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Bank of America allowed telecommute. I supported Test Leads in California, Oregon, Washington State and Monterey; Test Executioners in India. Communications between mid-level and executive level management are open, information flow smoothly, no lost time to timely decision.

    Cons

Since I am supporting different 4 time zones my working hours are long. I have to set priorities where I can support all time zones.
