I worked at Bank of America

    Pros

Great benefits, technology is one of the best, good advance opportunities, networking tools are facilitated. Excellent learning opportunities.

    Cons

Leadership has made great improvements but marketing of the company is very poor. issues with internal communication between LOB affects customers.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Individual responsibilities between LOB need to be more consistent. Some LOB are very lay back and man power is under utilized while others are overworked for the same pay rate.

I worked at Bank of America

    Pros

Competitive salary with good benefits, particularly days of vacation. A well defined framework to develop your work. Qualified and professionals peers. Good technology, not the state of the art but good business practices. I was laid off but my payment was fair.

    Cons

Too many intermediate managers that are competing between them without adding value to the company. Horrible desk position to work, desk behind desk, lots of phone conferences beside you, very difficult to be concentrated in your work place. Framework is very well defined but you have to find out how to adopt it because there is no induction, everybody expects you know how things are executed. You learn from your mistakes.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Invert in a better physical place to work for creative positions. There are plenty space to install modules where a person can be focus on his task. Shrink your intermediate levels. I was reporting to a manager who only has me and another person under her command. She reported to a manager with only three under him, and so on. Too many chief for a few soldiers!
