Pros
It has a good salary and my colleagues all have a high education,so I want to work at BOC.

Working in bank, it need you have a good relationship,so that you can have a career.but I have not.

You can give me some challenge that can make me gorw up fastly, so that I will have a better future.

It is really stressful and you have to deal with people who working inside which is quite complicated. I think the management structure should be better.
Advice to Senior Management
Bank of China should always promote people into higher position by their performance, not due to their good relationship with other managers.

every coins has two sides. its in china which is the fast grwing area in the world. besides, the pay is fine.

every coins has two sides. however, the financial system is not as good as US and if you cannot speak chinese, u will be in a big trouble

i think the bank of china should seek for more elites from US. They now mainly hire people in main land china. Besides, hope the management can be flat.

complex admi structure and politics; pretty flat learning curve; hard to stand out within the huge population; promotion based on seniority

pay more attention to employee's growth, improve the efficiency of coorporation, give more responsibility to young employees and more opportunities

Because Bank of China, Tokyo Branch only offer simple services to its customers, the job is boring.

You can explore more service to your customers, like personal investment. We employee will also appreciate because this will bring us more interesting job to do.

You will get to work with very nice, local people. The hours are really good as it is a truly nine to five job.

The compensation is minimal. Also, a lot of office politics are present. Internship training plus orientation are extremely lacking

Strengthen the internship training. Provide more interactive sessions to the interns to interact with senior managers. Also delegate more responsibilities to the interns.

Relaxed life, flexible working hours, low pressure on P&L. People around you are often nice but less competitive.
Cons
Detailed work, low resposibilty in junior people, less incentive for hard worker, little breakthrough in products and innovations, very long and tedious procedure when you want to achieve a project or sth like.

Pay reasonable as global peers if the bank is set to be the leading bank in the world, cut unnecessary positions when re-org.
