Pros
Dedicated man power. State of the art Technology. Wide base, customer loyalty and support.

Advice to Senior Management
The staff should be inspired and motivated by the leadership and try to reach them personally.

The Bank follows a traditional way of Marketing which at times mismatches with the dynamic environment but soon, it will change.

More focus towards HR needed if we are to retain and attract new talent

salary is credited on time, thank god people in Bank of India does not decide the salary, they have to follow IBA and accordingly pay the salaries to employees.

it is the worst place to work, performers are never noticed in this organization. only those who have good relationship with their bosses are recognized. u can have good relationship with your boss if u are helping him getting his tv cable fixed for his residence, get him free stuffs from the bank's money, or be his dog, by walking all the time with him, promotion recommendation guaranteed. nobody cares if you work or not, but you have to keep your boss happy no matter what, this is the rule in this company.
There is a group called as officers' association, and few people are placed in this group to help the employees, but it has turned out to be the other way round. these guys in the association help only those who have good relationship with the association head. if any employee wants his favorite posting then he has to satisfy his boss/manager/zonal manager and of course the association head. employees here go beyond imaginable limits to satisfy these people. employees compete to get into this association as volunteer or as a member. the whole organization is so political minded that any new comer who joins the bank also becomes politician inside this organization. it is a basket where all the mangoes are rotten, and no new mango can survive to be clean.
there is no respect for employees personal life, if the boss wants to work on Sunday's the employees have no go.
they don't have a medium where the employees can post their problems, because if they did, it will be flooded with grievances/complaints of the employees. of course, employees should be trained to post their problems and promised that their name is not published.
Advice to Senior Management
the leaders themselves are gone bad in this organization so don't know if its worth spending time and writing this section. anyway, here are few suggestions to this company.
all the heads have to replaced, specially association. people in the association have a feeling that they are the kings ruling the bank or the area they belong to.
the communication gap between the root level employees and the CMD have to be strengthened. CMD gets the messages that are usually in the favor of the person giving him the message. CMD is totally not aware of all the politics going around in this organization, because he cannot see the organization beyond certain level, and the people in this certain level does not let anything unfavorable message to reach him.
the root level employees are left to deal with evil bosses, the mindset of the leaders have to be changed. the leader should start responding to performers than to the ones who butter the bosses. the employees who take the "butter the boss" route should be punished and made to perform.
