A great place to grow within a company if you truly apply yourself.

I worked at Bank of Texas full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

Great benefits, laid-back environments, good pay. Management is a hit or a miss, but that is anywhere you go. This is a really great company overall.

    Cons

Rude clients sometimes, lots and lots of required training and courses to take more often that desired. Travel for training. Branches inside grocery stores can have long hours

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Be a team play and not just a dictator.

I worked at Bank of Texas full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

The people are amazing. They have created a culture there that is far and away the best that I have ever worked at. Everyone is so super friendly and treats everyone like they are family. Truly amazing office culture.

    Cons

If you are not in Oklahoma, where HQ is located, then your ideas or voice will not be heard. All other areas of the bank are treated like red-headed step-children. Also, consumer division is a dying breed and not treated like other areas of the bank.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Need to be more competitive with salary and technology.

    Pros

The best reasons to work here are the location.

    Cons

Lots of changes in management, changes in compensation-instability. Not a place I'd recommend anyone else to work for.

I have been working at Bank of Texas

    Pros

each location is very familiar with their clients

    Cons

sales for tellers/bankers are difficult since sales can be minus due to account closing. A lot of other things that banks would consider sales are not sales for BOT.

I have been working at Bank of Texas full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

Big enough to compete on most fronts. Small enough where you know most of the people you work with. Management is accessible and very little "red tape." Most people I have come in contact with are very friendly. ACT program is a good talent pool and great program. The company continues to grow.

    Cons

A bit conservative in culture and in the way they look at loans and credit. Not all too well known.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Communicate direction of company more clearly.

    Recommends
    Positive Outlook
