I worked at Banker's Toolbox full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

I was very regretful to leave this wonderful company. They provide free lunches and many more incentives, but more so, the people are wonderful to work with. Everyone is on board with the same objectives and come to each other's aid at a moment's notice. Don't just take my word for it, check out their Facebook and their Top Rankings as one of the best companies to work for in TEXAS!

    Cons

As a fast growing company, it needs full participation from all members. So, if you are lazy, this is Not the place for you.

I worked at Banker's Toolbox full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Banker's Toolbox is an organization that treats its employees with respect and has a great culture. Free lunches, company events, ping pong and most importantly nice people. Banker's Toolbox provided solid training in my 3.5 years there and set me up for success. It's a first class organization in my book.

    Cons

No place is perfect but Banker's Toolbox has few cons in my opinion.

I worked at Banker's Toolbox full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

Free breakfast and lunch every day. Free fitness center. Frequent, free company parties. Open and honest reporting of company health and direction from the very top, in person, every month. Great people to work for and with. 401K with matching funds. Stock options after one year of employment.

    Cons

No formal training. Most documentation of software and policies is out of date.

    I worked at Banker's Toolbox full-time

    Pros

Most people are friendly to work with, willing to help you out or answer a question. Everyone gets their own office. Free lunch every day, breakfast tacos on Fridays, and fully stocked kitchen at all times. There's also a game room with ping pong, video games, pool table. Free gym.

    Cons

Like many small companies, some of the managers are managers because they've been at the company the longest, not because they know how to manage people.
Documentation is sometimes out of date, seems like no one is responsible for updating it.
The company has always had a policy to fire people who did not meet performance goals. They still claim to have this policy, but are no longer consistent with it. The company is content with keeping on employees who do poor work, which (in the software industry) causes more work for everyone else.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Invest in training upper management on management skills.
    Spend time maintaining documentation.
Swallow your pride and don't be afraid to fire those who do not meet performance goals, no matter what their circumstances. Low quality employees will lead to low quality products, and unhappy customers.

I have been working at Banker's Toolbox full-time

    Pros

Surrounded by highly professional, intelligent employees that have a genuine interest in serving their customers well and exceeding expectations with a smile! BKTB is innovative in their approach and they have an excellent reputation in the banking world.

    Cons

May need to be more competitive with salaries to have first choice in the ideal "talent pool". Training program could be more of an exact science.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Continue to build on our reputation of putting the customer first and continue to invest in training for new hires.

I have been working at Banker's Toolbox full-time

    Pros

Feels like a family rather than a workplace sometimes. Competent employees, customer happiness first approach. Customers are happy with core products.

    Cons

Too many old technologies still in use. Slow to progress. Best employees end up leaving for whatever reason.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Be proactive to improve internal processes. Invest in and deploy newest technologies.
