Pros
Compensation and benefits package and a foot in the door. Best training program on wall street pre Lehman merger. Was great to start here
Cons
Always threatened to get fired. High turnover rate and firing w/o warning. Hassle to take a day off for dr visits and healthcare. No ability to move groups once placed after rotations. Stuck in role and executing trades. No sales experience with clients in person no training for the next level after Yeats Of being in a junior role. Line managers care about themselves and not training their juniors well
Advice to Senior Management
Allow more flexibility for personnel to move offices within company. Should be able to get some type of transfer options. Shouldnt have to leave when there is a Barcap office in New city. No checks and balances to review supervisor and their horrible talent development
Pros
1. Lots of advance technology work in progress always.....
Cons
HR Action any time without any justified reason
Advice to Senior Management
Try to do resource planning well as it is worst as of now
Pros
- i'm very lucky to be working within a team where members are very open to sharing and helping each other grow
- great employee benefits
- open communication with manager
- a lot of interesting projects to work on
Cons
- Still very driven by London and New York
- New location is very inaccessible
- Environment is very competitive
- Work-life balance is not so good depending on which team you are assigned
- Too many processes to follow
Advice to Senior Management
Focus on providing more work-life balance
Pros
their salary is very good. the senior bankers are very collaborative and helpful. client exposure is great. and exit options are excellent if u are interested.
Cons
work hours are too much. competition for promotion is also a little too much. i personally stay very far from the workplace so that can be a problem at times.
Advice to Senior Management
i dont have any feedback to give to them bacause they are doing a very good job atlest compared to the other banks out there. i would suggest them to you any day.
Pros
Acquisition of Lehman has really boosted the BarCap brand in the US, which will undoubtedly add the employee experience.
Cons
Unfortunately, BarCap is not the same firm since the change in senior management.
Pros
Good working ambience, followed closely by the manager and people are well payed. A good chance to advance in career.
Cons
We do not have time to have a normal lunch. The company is far away from the city, not always convenient.
Advice to Senior Management
Networking is generally good. But it may be more efficient to give some occasions for small groups on the same asset classes to know each other.
