Pros
Good work
Great work life balance
Salaries at par
Cons
Very low bonuses
Poor management vision
Advice to Senior Management
Need to have competent Senior managers who can differentiate between deserved candidates and show biz.
Pros
1. Extremely friendly environment, no dog eat dog competition
2. Adequate responsibilities so that you learn faster on the job
Cons
1. Slightly rigid in terms of ideas
Pros
Good opportunities, highly structured IT organisation, plenty of work. Technology is a mix of modern and ancient, but generally quite good.
Cons
The bank is terrified of spending money on IT; projects are cut to the bone and further until everyone is overworked and frantic. Solution design inevitably tends towards simply solving the immediate need with no time or space for flexibility or integration. The wheel is often reinvented.
Advice to Senior Management
Stop being so proud of your ability to change a decision quickly. Make a decision and stick to it. Permit some slack in the IT budget. Programmers are creative, give them the opportunity and they will amaze you.
Pros
Better pay but not excellent.
Cons
New location is bit hard to reach
Advice to Senior Management
Be fair in compensation.
Pros
