    Pros

Work environment is average, it's comparable to other large banks. They have great holiday parties. THere are opportunities for advancement but you may be required to relocate.

    Cons

The may make promises in the hiring decision and not follow through with them. Be careful if you are promised the moon.

    Pros

The structure of the Finance Graduate Program was ideal for a first job out of school, providing a well-rounded training curriculum and an opportunity to learn about all the different areas within in Finance. I can say that there was a recognition of the higher-performing graduate analysts, and that they were rewarded with the placements they sought out.

    Cons

There is a lack of true cohesion among all teams not only inter-departmentally, but also within Finance itself. Many teams seek to "protect" themselves rather than all constructively work together toward a greater purpose. Collective morale also took a big blow with all the high, senior-level misdeeds and the associated bad press.

I have been working at Barclays full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Strong support of teamwork vs. individual. Great corporate culture. Mentoring is available at strong levels. Strong recruiting culture, as well.

    Cons

Morale problem, uncompetitive pay, lack of organizational pride. There have been increased senior management changes in recent years. Recently, there has been a perception of the new CEO as not "getting" the IB business.
