Advice to Senior Management
cut the jargon and speak plain english.
Pros
Great work environment and friendly culture. Senior management is attentive and responsive to your need. Great benefits and work/life balance.
Cons
Still going through integration process (people and systems). Sometimes things are getting done pretty slow and require lots of approvals.
Advice to Senior Management
Senior management is doing a great job to communicat Barclays vision and keeping stuff informed of current initiatives and developments.
Pros
To use as a stepping stone into a decent company
Cons
Salary is very low compared to other local companys ie BNP Paribas, Resolution Assett Management & Smith & Williamson. The only way to progress in this company is if your friends with the management as its jobs for the boys no matter how much knowledge or experience you have.
Advice to Senior Management
In order to stop the mass exodus of staff moving to decent companies start paying a decent salary to retain long serving workers with the knowledge and experience. Be more open an honest regarding whats happening in the company rather than finding information out through the grapevine. Have people from a different part of the company conduct interviews as it seems unfair that senior managers can take their friends away and prep them for interviews and also conduct the interview.
