I worked at Barro's Pizza part-time (more than an year)

    Pros

Easy, fun atmosphere, shorter shifts, regular customers, family orientated, nice overall staff, easy to get a shift covered, and good food.

    Cons

Stressful, low pay, $.25 raises, uncomfortable work environment, work not evenly distributed at times, low hours, extremely busy on Fridays and holidays (expected), and angry customers (sometimes).

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

The company itself is wholesome, but I would say management within the store I worked at was unethical. If you consider yourself who has good work ethic, it may be hard to be satisfied with other coworkers. I think if management made a better priority to take time and interviews for new hires, the store would run more effectively.

I have been working at Barro's Pizza part-time (more than an year)

    Pros

Great people to work around, fun environment, Fast paced, and great food. A great starting job if ever there was one, and no real interactions with patrons unless either you want to or are needed to.

    Cons

Depending on your availability, you could either be scheduled for 1-2 days a week, or 6 to even 7 days if needed. Kitchen is loud and hot as hell, Irate customers and managers not having a good day can wear you down, and fellow employees who think that their phone is more important than listening to someone asking for help can be found.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Get better ventilation for the kitchens at some of the locations, think about having a Barro's bandana for the cooks working the oven and deep friers on busy nights. Oh, and also have a rule that all cell phones (With the exception of drivers or if the managers decide an employee's reason is a valid one) be kept in the office or other secure location of the building for the duration of their shift. And maybe some renovations on locations that need it.

I worked at Barro's Pizza part-time (less than an year)

    Pros

Cool people worked there. Pizza was good.

    Cons

Horrible hours. Sometimes got 2-3 hour shifts. They used to make employees wait 20 minutes to a hour before they could even clock on. so you were sitting there doing nothing up to a hour.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

im pretty sure its illegal to make people sit around and not get paid when they are supposed to.

I have been working at Barro's Pizza part-time (less than an year)

    Pros

The hours are very flexible and the manager works with you to make your schedule. You also walk away with money every shift. You earn all of your tip money while working on a register, or anything from the tip jar if you're doing anything else.

    Cons

The customers can be very, very rude, especially those who order over the phone. There are also lots of school kids who come in and unscrew the lids on Parmesan cheese or add salt in.
