    Pros

    Local Managers are very good at the technical end of the business. HR is approachable and try to do their best by the floor level. Love smelling chocolate every day!

    Cons

    Corporate office makes things very difficult for the local teams. They have little to no understanding of actually working in a facility to expect us to jump through hoops with little resources.

    Get out and spend time with us working on the line.

    Pros

    Have the ability to gain very valuable information in the Manufacturing Sector, should you choose to fully apply yourself. The people that excel here, often find much better opportunity at other Companies.

    Cons

    Management rarely listens or takes advise from it's subordinates. They have the "know it all" attitude, and the unwillingness to Continuously Improve, regardless of the Corporate goals. They hardly hire from within, which is a sad truth that must change in order for them to be able to secure talented individuals.

    Listen to the People! Trust the People! They will not steer you wrong. Welcome the idea of Change and do not be afraid of it. What worked before may not work now.

    Growth industry (internationally) but US market is flat.
    Plenty of professional challenges and opportunities to develop the business.

    Cons

    Job benefits are minimal.
    Condition of work place is suboptimal (ie. inadequate deskspace and office space)
    IT systems are marginal at best (ie. little to no business analytics tools).

    Invest in better systems. Provide a clear direction (strategy) for middle management.

    Many talented people and sample treats of the product sometimes.

    Cons

    Inadequate management with no sense of culpability of actions. Inadequate maintenance staff always a breakdown and no regards for employee safety.

    Promote people into management because they have the right interpersonal, time management and skills for the job. Improve training of all the personnel and safety practices for plant issues.

    Lots of opportunities for training and progression. What can be better than working with chocolate? Great people. Expanding company

    HR department issues at the very top. People sticking their heads in the sand.

    Look at the HR department from top to bottom..... Start at the top!
