I worked at Bath & Body Works part-time for less than a year

    Pros

It was a pretty easy job to get into. The other employees were insanely nice, and very helpful. They'll give you jobs that actually fit what you're good at, and it was rather easy to pick up on what you're supposed to do. Even if you're shy, it's actually pretty easy to talk to the customers.

    Cons

I wasn't too fond of being told to basically shove product down the customers' throats. I know as a customer at the store, I would get a little annoyed at the employees constantly trying to guide me to every little bit of product when I just wanted to look around. I preferred, while working there, to ask if the customer knew what they wanted, if they wanted help, etc. And that's not how B&BW likes to do it. I wasn't trained properly on the cash register (but thankfully I only had to work it twice). Also, they expect you to do a 20-30 minute job by yourself in less than 15 minutes, even when the store is completely packed and hard to move around in.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

There could have been a bit more training. I only had basic knowledge of the cash register, and I wasn't too fond of getting annoyed looks when I had to ask for help.

I worked at Bath & Body Works part-time for more than a year

    Pros

Great work atmosphere with strong team energy. The managers are very supportive and approachable and offer great training.

    Cons

Management hired too many associates, with not enough hours to distribute, therefore there were a lot of cancelled shifts, sometimes only getting under 10 hours a week. The shifts were usually cancelled the morning of, or an hour or two into the shift, which was the most frustrating part.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Hire more carefully, only what you can accommodate.

    Cons

Labor force stretched thin for smaller stores(makes it difficult to use the bathroom get a break with single coverage all day

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Corporate should increase the minimum hours that each store receives. In this day and age no one should be alone!
