I have been working at Bath & Body Works part-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Flexible hours, great job if you are a student, everyone was very nice, lots of free product, discounts

    Cons

If you are looking for full-time, career type job you can't survive as an associate, need to move up to a manager's position

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Keep on doing what you're doing.

I worked at Bath & Body Works full-time (more than 10 years)

    Pros

Great work environment, talented people, great structure and opportunity to learn and grow

    Cons

I loved working for them but despite their claims of competitive pay they are on the low end of the spectrum. You will work at a full level above your title and get paid on the low end of your title. I started at an entry level, left at a director level and literally double my salary within 3 years of leaving.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Promoting from within is great just don't discount the value of outside talent

    Pros

The company. Great place to work for that appreciates their people.

    Cons

High expectations can be a con for some. If you are not truly interested in hard working this is not the place for you.

I worked at Bath & Body Works full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Great environment, great benefits, a lot of vacation time. The staff was very close everyone got along very well. Holiday was always crazy and went fast.

    Cons

Work life balance, as with any retail management position you need to be available when you are off the clock

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Management needs additional time (not taken from productive hours) through out the week to complete their DOR's

I have been working at Bath & Body Works (more than an year)

    Pros

30% discount. Good work environment. Flexible hours.

    Cons

Hours are very sporadic. Pay is very low. It's mandatory to work on Black Friday. Hours for floorset can go way over than what you intend (I worked a 17 hour shift with NO meal break before).

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

More benefits would be better. Pet and car insurance is constantly discussed, but nothing about health. Would be nice to be able to combine the discount with in-store deals. Floorsets should be more frequent if they are going to take ages and ages to complete.

I worked at Bath & Body Works part-time (less than an year)

    Pros

It was a pretty easy job to get into. The other employees were insanely nice, and very helpful. They'll give you jobs that actually fit what you're good at, and it was rather easy to pick up on what you're supposed to do. Even if you're shy, it's actually pretty easy to talk to the customers.

    Cons

I wasn't too fond of being told to basically shove product down the customers' throats. I know as a customer at the store, I would get a little annoyed at the employees constantly trying to guide me to every little bit of product when I just wanted to look around. I preferred, while working there, to ask if the customer knew what they wanted, if they wanted help, etc. And that's not how B&BW likes to do it. I wasn't trained properly on the cash register (but thankfully I only had to work it twice). Also, they expect you to do a 20-30 minute job by yourself in less than 15 minutes, even when the store is completely packed and hard to move around in.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

There could have been a bit more training. I only had basic knowledge of the cash register, and I wasn't too fond of getting annoyed looks when I had to ask for help.
