I worked at Bath & Body Works part-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

co-workers, free product give aways, flexible schedule, my particular location did not have a high turn over till my 4th year.

    Cons

after years of working here p/t; store got a new store manager. with that came new employees. these new people were very lazy. left all the work to the senior employees and were never reprimanded for their actions.

I have been working at Bath & Body Works part-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

    - great training program, good job during college, get lots of freebies and a discount at not only bath and body works but also victorias secret.
    - flexible with class schedule, except during holiday season it can get crazy and busy.

    Cons

    - minimum wage, eligible for a raise after a year, but usually only .20 to .25
    - you will work holidays or a lot of days leading up to holidays (black friday, christmas eve, etc.)

I worked at Bath & Body Works part-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

Friendly coworkers; great learning experience; opportunities to try new products; flexible work schedule

    Cons

Not many hours available for sales associates; this is a job for those who want to make a little extra money, so don't expect to be able to support yourself with this job; not environmentally friendly (wasteful shipment packaging, lack of recycling within the store); poor pay like most retail jobs

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Provide more hours for employees; implement environmentally friendly shipment packaging and give stores recycling options; be innovative by providing all employees with the option to receive health and other benefits

I worked at Bath & Body Works part-time for less than a year

    Pros

There are many advantages to working for bath and body works, one is the up beat environment, and generally nice people they hire. They really encourage team building and are always creating contests to have employees perform their best. It was an experience that you can never forget.

    Cons

The only Con would be the compensation, but it's generally the same with all retail jobs.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

I think that having individual meetings with your sales leads can really make or break how you can effectually manage a store.

I worked at Bath & Body Works part-time for more than a year

    Pros

Flexible hours, work life balance, great incentives for making sales, you get free testers of new product, great management team who is energetic and wants to see you grow

    Cons

Floor sets go until 1-3am on Sundays. I worked till 1-3am on a Sunday then had to be back at the store at 9am on Monday morning. They say they promote from within but I never saw that happen.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Work on developing current employees to move up in the company instead of hiring outside candidates, pay should be more competitve
