I have been working at Bath & Body Works

    Pros

The atmosphere is always happy. I love everyone I work with, all of us managers get along and our district manager was and is always helpful. They strive to make everyone be a little bit better without feeling down.

    Cons

During the holidays it gets really tough especially if you're in school. I was working close to 55 hours a week and I was only supposed to be a part time manager, but in the long run it really does pay off. I got paid at 10.50 an hour which isn't bad for a college student, but stinks knowing that someone who has the same position as me gets paid 3 dollars more than me even though I have more responsibilities.

I worked at Bath & Body Works full-time (more than a year)

    Pros

Amazing continuous training program. Organized and purposeful in all that needed to be done. Lots of opportunity for advancement. Every employee was acknowledged for their unique talents and the company took advantage of those talents. Wonderful team to work with.

    Cons

There was a lot of work involved. Sometimes would be there till 3am for floor sets. Also we would spend all Sunday evening doing a floor set then would come in Monday morning only to get a change. That was a little frustrating but there were good reasons behind all the changes

    Cons

It is retail so you work holiday but as long as you know that going in you'll be great.

I have been working at Bath & Body Works

    Pros

Constantly looking for new ideas, never get bored, get a lot done in a short amount of time

    Cons

Not very strategic, everything is urgent, highly political culture that is senior-leadership driven. People stay in their jobs for a long time so it's hard to promote

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Let more junior people do their job and get out of the way

I have been working at Bath & Body Works part-time (less than a year)

    Pros

Working at Bath and Body works is always fun because it is all about making people happy, the pressure to sell the most stuff was off but to make the sales plan was always a really fun goal.

    Cons

The other employees at the store I transfered to are LAZY and refuse to do the basic tasks of their job. My first day there and I was the only one moving shipment, helping customers, and stocking shelves. Also, the managers would just leave out of no where, it was my first day and I was suppose to be supervised to learn the different system and I was left to do it myself.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

It seems like the DM should pay more attention to who they hire, if there was more organization and better quality employees, this store might actually be making it's sale plans
