I have been working at Bayer (More than 10 years)

    Pros

NONE that I can think of

    Cons

Management needs to get their heads out of their behinds and realize these are actual people that are working for them!!! Regardless of whether they don't have lives, some people do and have no interest in spending 24x7, holidays included sometimes, at the office,

    Advice to Management

Stop with the double standards! What's good for you is good for us!!!

I have been working at Bayer full-time

    Pros

Flexible hours. Comfy no prospect of movement tech job. For a beginning job - hourly temp rate of $15-18 an hour was nice if you didn't being a temp for at least a year .... Could be as much as seven years as a temp.

    Cons

Favoritism runs rampant. Hard work isn't valued - people do illegal things and no disciplinary action taken. Whether you are a great worker or status quo - you get the same bonus of 2.5% raise only once you convert to full time. Temps don't get any raise or vacation time paid. Once you convert to full time pay does goes up to $41000.00 per year. You'll just be stuck at that level for a long time as they don't really promote from within - they only hire external for promotions. HR doesn't really do anything to help if ur the complainer - the status quo is to do nothing - same with management. Sweeping bad things and bad behavior under the rug is the status quo. A lot of hypocrisy like the LIFE values (leadership, integrity, flexibility and efficiency) they don't really live those values and depending on the manager - do the exact opposite. Competencies are evaluated for employees now but nobody grades the managers.... There's a lot of office politics, sabotage and just generally undermining behavior that is treated as acceptable.

    Advice to Management

Try to actually apply management class training. When turnover is as high as it is and morale is as low as it is, you have major problems. Learn to actually lead... Don't just pay it lip service

    Pros

Great people, great salary, great benefits!! This is a great company to work for with an enthusiastic and challenging atmosphere!!

    Cons

Dental coverage could be better, and there needs to be a serious focus on getting products covered on key managed care formularies in the various regions of the country.

    Advice to Management

Focus on getting your awesome products on managed care formularies rather than trying to work around them. Having contracted pricing with MCOs is better than being locked out having to get doctors to do prior authorizations for your products.
