I have been working at Beachbody full-time

    Pros

Young feel and vibe at this company. They encourage you to workout (if you want) during your work day so the atmosphere is playful, casual, and very collegiate. While the employees work hard, the work is around health and fitness and you're living what you're working.

    Cons

Some out of touch management and growing pains led to some serious talent leaving the company within the past 2 years. Very political senior management - they are masters of the game, but that's why most of them are in leadership roles. Rank and file coworkers are fun and dedicated. That said, they are working hard on making it a great place to be with various "fun" planned events.

Job is ongoing if you know how to make a sell. Personality helps.

I have been working at Beachbody (more than an year)

    Pros

It's great when you believe in the company. If you know people you can get ahead. Be a product of the programs and it gets you places, plus randomly sending in your results gets you a chance to win money and a free t-shirt.

    Cons

You either know people or bully them to get ahead. Not quite a pyramid, but if you get a sale, technically your coach above you in the ladder gets the sale...so on so forth.

It could have been great. Highly disappointed. If you have the choice take the other option.

Former Employee - Anonymous Employee in El Segundo, CA

I worked at Beachbody full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

    - Great concept
    - Good products (Shakeology, joint support, protein powders ... ), but expensive
    - Good benefits (3 weeks PTO, 10 holidays, products at discount, access to a gym)
    - Well located in LA: Santa Monica and El Segundo

    Cons

    - High turnover rate
    - Poor management (Poor communication between management and employees, inconsistent message) Blame game. upper management sets unrealistic deadlines and blames lower level
    - Expect to work long extra hours every week without recognition (60h/week)
    - No training (just learn as u go and expect to be thrown in the lion's cage even so they pretend not to)
    - They pretend there is a "dude culture", it's a lie. Dude culture is NOT existent.
    - Cost, money, growth only
    - Gossipy and arrogant atmosphere. People talk behind each other's back pretending they are better by reducing others, which makes the atmosphere not friendly.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    - Deeper training for all new hires would be helpful to all parties
    - Invest in good leaders
    - Replace a lot of your senior management - they're driving away talented people
