I have been working at Beachbody full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Great work environment, driven people, everyone works hard to get the job done - very team based, friendly place

    Cons

Technology is extremely outdated, no solid frameworks for processes, no training/onboarding beyond a welcome orientation

    Advice to Management

Please continue to work on tech initiatives and get standard processes in place so that there is a framework established to help with our exponential growth

    I worked at Beachbody full-time

    Pros

Great people, great benefits. Loose but professional atmosphere, not stuffy at all.

    Cons

Turn over is very high for management. This in turn translates into high turnover for employees.

    Advice to Management

Take a breath. Youve lost hold of reality.

I have been working at Beachbody full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Very generous when it comes to pay. they have decent benefits and the CEO and CIO have a good vision for the company.

    Cons

Un-Professional Sr. Managers in IT. Cuss and Uses fowl languages in-front of subordinates. Do not have a good direction or knowledge of where to take the organization. Lots of cowboys running the shop. The infrastructure is unstable and they keep doing band-aid solution. Web sites go down every week if not every other day.

    Advice to Management

I hope the CIO hires a director that will clean-up the mess this people that works for him created. I think the CEO is left blind by the decision makers that report to the CIO that's why they have fired different people in the fast and still facing the same issues because they still have the same set of Sr. managers that don't know how to run IT as an organization and know their infrastructure. I would advice the CIO to bring in an external consultant to evaluate their IT infrastructure and bring in consultants to fix it.

I have been working at Beachbody full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    - Colleagues (some) - Occasional opportunities to work out - Accessible fitness products - Access to gym (occasional) - Opportunities to participate in test groups

    Cons

    - Long hours - Poorly managed projects - Projects developed for speed--not quality - Promises for change but little action by upper management - A waterfall shop pretending to be agile - Extremely poor communication fostered between Technology and Marketing - Nothing in Technology department will truly change without accountability from non-Tech teams

    Advice to Management

Stop overworking Tech employees. Only then will the turnover stop. Company claims to value helping people have healthy, fulfilling lives but requires LOTS of overtime.

    Pros

Talented, hard-working employees working at the top of their game. They spend a lot of time and money recruiting the best in the business. Solid pay. Decent benefits. Free products.

    Cons

Very political. No work/life balance. Cult-like culture and work environment. They don't know how to keep and develop the talent they have. Marketing, HR and Upper Management are completely dysfunctional. High turn over rate. Doesn't operate according to their "Core Values." Not open to change and new ideas . If you don't eat, sleep and breathe this company -- you are completely on your own.

    Advice to Management

Walk your talk. Deliver on what you promise. Learn to develop the talent you have instead of always turning them over. Be more transparent with expectations, communication and responsibilities.

I have been working at Beachbody full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Practice what they preach in terms of fitness - time to work out, supplements, free Shakeology. Talented group of workers that go above what is needed. Good overall vibe.

    Cons

It's currently an unstable work environment, new management means there is an abundance of people looking to prove something. Overly political atmosphere. Marketing team and technology teams don't synergize well. Trying to be an agile shop, but deadline driven which exacerbates lack of interdepartmental synergy. Marketing run organization without input from technology.

    Advice to Management

Give honest direction. Plan out roadmaps accordingly with input from both Marketing and technology. Too much over promising without input from the people who get the work done. Listen.
