    I worked at BearingPoint

    Pros

The pay was great (at the time) for someone at an analyst level. Free coffee at HQ.

    Cons

I was unknowingly put on a project as a contract requirement because I met certain guidelines. Worked exclusively with people from other companies, with no exposure to other BearingPoint colleagues. Bad fit for the position.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Take a little more care with where you are staffing your employees. Bad form to put someone on an island by themselves.

    I worked at BearingPoint

    Pros

    Pay was decent
Made some good friends out of the experience
Got experience at a big firm
Was able to learn what I didn't want in a company.

    Cons

Management perpetuated double standards, played favorites, and did not support you if issues arose on a project.
Expectations were not communicated, yet employees were reprimanded for not meeting those expectations.
Corporate culture was strange, super-competitive but without the same esteem as competitors.
Extreme use of consultant-speak buzz words like "bandwidth"
Struggle to advance, as I was not one of my manager's "favorites"

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

get your act together and recognize that you will continue to have high attrition levels as long as you continue to treat employees this way.
