Pros
Great benefits, amazing compant culture, I felt very at home and welcomed when I began working there. I could have seen myself working there for a very long time but I had personal issues that I had to take care of and so I had to quit. Management was excellent and very fair, free employee cafeteria, free uniforms & cleaning service, direct deposit, cheap cost of insurance.
Cons
There tends to be alot of drunk people and people that smell like cigarette smoke due to the fact it is a casino.
Advice to Senior Management
Keep up the great work. Beau Rivage and MGM are one of the best companies to work for out there!
Pros
It was good. I liked it. We had fun.
Cons
I didn't really like the atmosphere. Too smoky.
Advice to Senior Management
It was good. I liked it. We had fun.
Pros
Very good health insurance (MGM Resorts International has a lot of negotiating power). Exciting environment - gaming, top level entertainment, luxury hospitality and food / beverage. The best in the region.
Cons
Pay for professional jobs is somewhat subpar to similar positions outside the company.
Pros
Decent benefits, employee appreciation, lots of different areas to move around and learn new things, free lunches, always something new going on.
Cons
Too much politics, loss of some benefits since economy downturn (no 401k match, huge bonus cutbacks, annual raises lowered), pay is low in general.
Advice to Senior Management
Listen to employees more, and about more important things, too much focus on little things that are not as important and do not affect everyone.
Pros
The benefits and the pay. Beau Rivage will reimburse your school tuition if you make A's and will reimburse a portion if you make B's or C's. The problem is that management rarely allows time to get off to attend classes.
Cons
The hours and the incompetence of management. Management was rarely fair. They practiced the "good ol' boy" system, and rarely let you off for extreme circumstances. I was extremely sick and still got points for missing work during a holiday. I guess i should've just gone to work and coughed on everybody.
Advice to Senior Management
Listen to your people. Understand that without us, your production will be extremely low. Stop treating us like we're crap. 9 times out of 10, you were where we are at one time.
