I worked at Beaumont Hospital full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Flexible scheduling, standard pto, paid holidays for full-time

    Cons

Management out of tune with reality, overworked, constant staff shortages, removal of tuition reimbursement, too many managers and not enough bedside staff, outdated/not enough equipment.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Listen to the bedside staff. They are the face of your organization and know what needs to change and what needs to stay the same. Pay your people what they're worth.

I have been working at Beaumont Hospital part-time (less than a year)

    Pros

    Job security, work-life balance, 403b

    Cons

No room for growth, tedious, nursing staff incompetent

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

The corporate structuring of the lab has diminished overall customer service. It seems to be profit driven, even though Beaumont claims to be non-profit. Some lab procedures could be updated to new technology.
In the event of a biological attack or crisis, the upper management would seem to be very unprepared

I have been working at Beaumont Hospital

    Pros

the people I work with are great. the work is interesting

    Cons

no substantial salary increases over the last five years, not even to cover the cost of living

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

don't focus all your energy on the physicians and nurses - the administrative stuff are there to support the hospital and should be given the same courtesy for increases

I have been working at Beaumont Hospital full-time (more than 8 years)

    Pros

I enjoy helping and providing the best customer service to each and every new client I come in contact with on a daily basis. The health insurance benefits and paid vacation are wonderful.

    Cons

The supervisors constant allowance of last minute vacation/time off by employees during another employees scheduled time off is ridiculous. Instead of a raise employees are given a gift card for excellent performance.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Do not allow more than one employee to have the same vacation time. Without enough employees to cover shifts the customer/clients have extended wait times for delivery.

i have no clomplaints with working here. Everyone was friendly, the pay was competitive, it was a great experience.
