Former Employee – worked at BeavEx full-time for more than 10 years
Pros – Very happy with this company. Good salaries, always on time, great senior management, overall great experience. I look forward to going back to work there one day.
Cons – The company is still growing and management is a bit lax. The cost of living in a lot of the cities is green during the day and blue at night. IT's always Sunny in Philadelphia.
Advice to Senior Management – Keep on trucking!

Former Employee – worked at BeavEx full-time for more than a year
Pros – Good Pay for industry. Owner is approachable and generally a nice and decent man. Company has many good people throuought. Great customer base.
Cons – Constant change of direction and focus. Fire sales associates without enough training or time in service to develop a customer portfolio. No sales management systems. Too many conference calls not enough real support.
Advice to Senior Management – Provide an adequate training program to include ongoing sales education. Be patient with new sales people so they can develop a customer base. this is an industry with a very long sales cycle. It takes time.

Current Employee – been working at BeavEx as a contractor for more than a year
Pros – Able to work independently %100 of the time.
Time constraints on delivering mail is very reasonable.
Get to see some nice areas while driving route.
Staff, and management seem pretty laid back, and not too overbearing.
Was recognized for hard work, and was offered opportunities for advancement.
other routes are available if you have the right kind of vehicle. For example: cargo van
Ability to work less hours for the same amount of pay in a full time job
Cons – The milage required is not reasonable to the amount of pay you expect to recieve
The scanner malfunctions quite a few times, and you have to go through the hassle of reporting it to get paid
Scanner glitch sometimes lead to not getting paid
You are not compensated for money spent on gas
Very little opportunities for mid sized sedans
You have to use your own vehicle and that means expenses on the independed contractors part to keep it maintained
Must have full coverage commercial insurance
Use of personal cell phone required which you must have in service at all times while working
It is extremely hard to get a back up driver when you want days off
Management should have a system in which employers have to sign off on scanners to account for being there when independent contractor has to drive repeatedly in between two customers
It is unacceptable to not pay someone for a route they did! It's not hard to call up customers to make sure that employee was there, and did the job
No health benefits, 401k, or any other real benefits for that matter for Independent Contractors
Advice to Senior Management – Make routes profitable in this economy or else you will have many disgruntled employees working for you who will leave when they get another oppoortunity becasue they can't afford to continue working at this company
Require all customers to sign scanners for employees once they pick up or drop off packages, mail, etc.
Help in paying at least a portion of employee health insurance
Provide incentives to hard working employees who do well (it doesn't have to be very expensive)
Stop cutting bank routes in half to retain profit because you are hurting those who keep the company afloat ( Independed contractors who do the actual routes)
You should have people in every state trying to obtain more contracts to increase company revenue (hire sales representatives)
Conduct yearly reviews, and allow employees to rate the company to see how they feel about their jobs
Do not be so critical when independent contractors have mechanical car problems on the job. (as long as they are able to get the job done)
Don't make couriers feel like they haven't earned their money when they clearly have worked the route required of them. Just because their is a technical issue doesn't mean that person shouldn't get paid. Remember this person relies on you to pay them so that they can continue working their designated routes
Keep a postive attitude around the workplace. This will reflect company moral, and allow employees to feel more secure about where they work.

Former Employee – worked at BeavEx
Pros – Good work environment and definitely have a family friendly approach. Get lots of exposure to a variety of things due to limited staffing.
Cons – Where to start... Senior Level Management has their head in the sand most of the time. Don't have a true gauge on how employees feel about the direction of company. They don't listen to their employees educated opinions or views prior to making decisions. Losing lots of money by doing this and laying off good folks when the numbers fall short.
Advice to Senior Management – Get a grip and begin to listen to the folks you give a paycheck to.
No, I would not recommend this company to a friend

Former Employee – worked at BeavEx full-time for more than 3 years
Pros – Flexibility of schedule and trust placed in you by managers.
Cons – Since most terminals are small there is not much opportunity for career advancement within the company who's HQ is in Atlanta.
Advice to Senior Management – Offer employees more work-home balance perks.
