I worked at Beckman Coulter full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

none that I can think of

    Cons

-low pay, the IC comp plan has been gutted last 2 years -poor morale among sales team, very high turnover rates -sales staff is leaving in droves for competitors and "Just to get out" -no off time, expected to be available any time, pressure not to take time off -Sales team was reduced by several reps last year meaning new territories are larger -Managers have many more reps to manage and this reduces time and availability to help reps in the field or with deals -sales reps being forced to cover open territories for months since reps leave and they can't hire anyone, the word is out Danaher/Beckman Coulter is a terrible career move -Danaher holds the reins so tight this company cannot innovate. Danaher only acquires and does not invest in R&D -Coulter is a shell of the great company it used to be!!

    Advice to Management

    none

I worked at Beckman Coulter full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

I can't find one single thing to praise this terrible company. The only positive thing is the terrace view to the lake. So, figured out by yourself.

    Cons

The "organization" should not be called like that, nothing is properly organized: the management is totally incompetent and the possibilities of progression are an utopia. Procedures change on a weekly basis, most of the time you are not even informed about those changes. Employees costantly complaining about all the mess, while the management is keeping doing a terrible job. In addition to that, due to constant cuts, many people are made redundant every year. I didn't get to that stage as I left before. Worst experience ever, worst company ever, worst management ever. Stay away.

    Advice to Management

Change job or start to do something decent, as "good" would be too much for you I guess.
