I have been working at Bed Bath & Beyond part-time (less than an year)

    Pros

Loyal customers make my job easy. Since working there I have not felt the need to call in sick or felt as if I wanted to turn up late for work... Very supportive management team and plenty of consultant training opportunities.

    Cons

Erratic scheduling. Not knowing how many hours you're going to get from week to week is somewhat unsettling.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Management need to keep their employees in the loop and be more up front about any plans they have for your future...

I have been working at Bed Bath & Beyond as a contractor (less than an year)

    Pros

To the world, an excellent place to shop. Many unique household products.

    Cons

For its employees, not a great place to work. Upper management could care less about associates. There is no consideration to work-life balance.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Exam why there is turnover and address common reasons.

I worked at Bed Bath & Beyond

    Pros

It smells good in the stores.

    Cons

    Your doing four different jobs.
Your expected to help customers, stock merchandise and jump down off of a ladder to get to a register when they call you to the front.
There are NO safety harnesses for the ladders just in case you slip while carrying a bulky , 50 pound comforter to the top of a 20ft ladder.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Considering you dont offer health insurance to your part time employees, could you use common smarts and put safety harnesses on the ladders so your employees dont fall off the top of the raggedy ladders. Thanks

I have been working at Bed Bath & Beyond

    Pros

Love the dress code, flexibility and customer interactions.

    Cons

Downsides, the store managers have no idea what they are doing and refused to take responsibility for their actions.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

It's a good transitional job. Not permanent

I have been working at Bed Bath & Beyond

    Pros

The pay is okay, until you divide it by the hours worked

    Cons

There is not enough hours in a day to get the job done. Over worked under staffed.
Upper level mgt. ( District & Regional ) accentuates the negative when walking the store, never anything positve.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Treat your people with respect. Everything that is said by district staff is negative.
The employees are working hard to make this company successful, show a little gratitude.
There is no motivation for the employees to do a better job.
