    Pros

Everyone is very willing to help out with a question, great "pass the buck" policy among employees. Good discount. Great work environment. Takes a while to get into the flow of things, but fun place to work.

    Cons

Front end has to do a lot more work than a cashier but get the same pay

    Pros

good pay in general with room for advancement. Decent benefits though health was getting more expensive each year. Great discount.

    Cons

High expectations of putting in lots of time. Bad work/life balance. Found huge differences in regionality. Worked in New England and in Florida. New England crew/managers were much better, open, honest. Florida has a "good Ole Boys" club atmosphere.

    Advice to Management

truly scrutinize your "upper level" managers in florida. Way too much good ole boys club going on. Promotions not based on merit, based on favoritism. Coming from the North, it was all on merit.

    Pros

Laid-back environment, friendly people, room to grow, brand new building, comfortable atmosphere, you can dress casual.

    Cons

There aren't really any cons, besides difficult to find parking after 9:30am, only a few national holidays you have off, no summer Friday's. Nothing that's a big deal.

    Doesn't Recommend
    Doesn't Recommend

    Pros

Vacation, sick days and benefits. 20% Discount and employee incentives.

    Cons

Poorly managed, never overtime, mostly promote from outside, terrible wages 25 to 50 cents over minimum wage, terrible raises. I worked there for 7 years and barely made $11 at the end of my time there at 4% raise a year. No bonuses. Managers goof around.

    Advice to Management

Get new management or train them to respect the associates rather than look down on them, pay your full time employee way better and give a discount more then what a customer can get.

    Pros

    Free Food at staff meetings
    sick days for part time
    flexibility in scheduling

    Cons

Not a company for immediate growth and promotions
    Work hard get paid nothing
hour cuts when hiring new associates
mean customers who believe their entitled to the world

    Advice to Management

Instead of cleaning out the front end try managers amd supervisors...Split up clicks

Current Employee - Front End Cashier, Customer Service

I have been working at Bed Bath & Beyond part-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

you can transfer to any store in the country, Sunday's they close early, always hiring, you can basically make your own schedule you just have to let them know the times and days you can work

    Cons

horrible pay, there is only a .25 cent raise every year. Some of the managers are lazy, keep the store open later then the closing time, employees are constantly on there cell phones, lots of lazy workers, supervisors come in late to their shifts, so many people just stop coming to work, doesn't offer full time

    Advice to Management

fire the employees that just show up to work. Increase pay raises, fire supervisors that never show up on time, have more full time workers, write up people that have their cell phones on the floor,
