    Pros

    Great to meet lot of people, whether fellow employees or customers. You build great customer service skills and are able to learn a lot about the business.
    Promote from within.

    Cons

    The expectations are sometimes a little too much of a manager. Too much to take care of while also ensuring every customer is taken care of.

    Pros

    Commitment to superior customer service. Good pay. Freedom to make decisions.

    Cons

    NO work-life balance. Not allowed to say "no" to customers, regardless of what they are requesting. Not enough hours to run store, managers on cash register continuously.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Continue your focus on customer service but give the stores the tools (ie-payroll) to effectively so the job.

    Pros

    Can dress however you want. Has a walking track around the building. Bathrooms are always clean. Open accessibility to upper management. Openness to hearing ideas. Good vendor area. Great donation strategy

    Cons

    No growth or movement. Company doesn't motivate staff. No travel. No phone or credit card for buying staff- takes weeks to be reimbursed. Light resources in other areas so ideas are unable to be executed. Systems are always freezing computers and are outdated.

    Get in touch with your employees and don't worry about money for once.

    Pros

    The company offers great product training and has acted as a great educational experience. I've learned a great deal about retail, sales, customer service, and a variety of programs and software's used by the company. There are some amazing corporate managers and also great store/ operations/ and department managers as well. They treat the employees great.

    Cons

    Compensation and raises are very poor, especially for part-time employees. Some of the training methods are repetitive and unnecessary but there are some employees that need that kind of redundancy.

    Management is friendly, you gain great customer service experience. Senior manaegment was very accommodating to my availability.

    Cons

    You get over worked like a horse. The place is such understaffed, that your forced to do all of the work by your self. I found my self doing a job solely, which would cleary be a 2 man job.

    Love the employees I have worked with, each location (been at 3 thanks to moving)
    Knowing exactly what we sell so you can buy what you need
    Decent hours
    You CAN BE promoted
    Really is a great company and most everyone is super super helpful
    Contests and prizes are a hoot

    Cons

    Holiday hours are not worth it. Open easter, sold 3 items all day. Black Friday is mandatory and if you go out of town tough crap. You better be back in time for shift. Open too frickin late for Christmas time hours.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Give employees better discounts, it's not fair with what we deal with to actually have the same silly discount as customers with a coupon. God knows they save them for years and there's no limit on how many you use. Bump up discounts! Make it worth the snobs.
