Pros – Good place to learn more about tile and build connections. Great place if you like a fast paced environment because you're always kept busy.
Cons – High stress with low pay and no positive reinforcement. Management only calls you out on mistakes, no matter how small. Lunch breaks are basically non existent and management does not reinforce them on a regular basis.
Advice to Senior Management – Give your employees proper training from the beginning by having someone shadow for at least a week or two. More positive reinforcement would help, as pointing out the bad things creates negative feelings of self doubt. Also, reinforcing breaks, especially lunch breaks, would make for a more positive work environment.
No, I would not recommend this company to a friend
Pros – Great place to meet a vast array of people in the industry.
Cons – Very clique orientated, if you aren't part of higher management don't hope for a future or deserved wage. High stress and high demands without the proper pay. Unfair treatment in the workplace among coworkers due to managements "favorites". If you want a company that cares about you and wants to grow you as an individual this isn't the company for you.
Advice to Senior Management – Better training and monitoring for branch managers so they can better educate hopeful employees in a professional and mature manner. So employees can grow and love the company versus feeling disposable and used.
Pros – Great place to get your foot in the door. Good place for people new to the job market or industry
Cons – Not much recognition from management, unless you do something wrong. Then plenty of people on your case. Difficult to stay motivated when no one is providing training or encouragement. Raises are basically non existent.
Advice to Senior Management – There needs to be a structured system for training, raises, and performance based praise. It is very difficult to stay motivated, productive, beneficial to the company when you are not being taken care of financially or mentally.
