    Not a good fit for Brown and Brown model

    ConsThere is no leadership at this company. There are no performance reviews and no clear lines of career development. There is an amazing sense of desperation since the sale to B and B. It doesn't seem like Beecher is meeting expectations, and the parent company is already making really awful changes to culture and service model.

    Advice to Senior ManagementStart over with a talented management team

    No, I would not recommend this company to a friend – I'm not optimistic about the outlook for this company

    ConsSome managers do not communicate clearly but expect their direct reports to understand what is expected.

    Advice to Senior ManagementClear communication is very important and will overall help the company to be more successful. Make sure that the service folks are given fair bonuses as they work very hard and are dedicated to giving the best service in the business.

    ProsThe culture of the company was great; everybody works well together and are always willing to help each other to achieve the same goal "success". One of the best places I've worked with the exception on the communication.

    ConsSome managers need to learn how to communicate better so there is no question in their expectations.

    Advice to Senior ManagementNeed to be fair to all employees regarding flexibility, its obvious that some managers allow for more flexibility to people that are married and/or those that have children as they seem to be allowed more flexibility with little or no repercussion.

    ConsLack of information from management about everything leaves you speculating about everything. "Bonuses" do not exist and there is no talk of why or when they might exist.

    Advice to Senior ManagementCommunicate more, and try stick to what you say to some degree. Quarterly conference calls with the entire company are not useful, they are a waste of time and almost demoralizing. Award those that deserve it. Not everyone is a producer in this company, but they appear to be the only ones that matter.

    There are some good people here. The worst executive management I have seen in 20 years in the industry. Poor ethics.

    ConsWeak management at the executive level which naturally permeates through the entire organization. Old boy network, cronyism and "might makes right" mentality.

    Advice to Senior ManagementPrevious reviewer said it best, lead by example. Stop turning a blind eye to poor ethics and misconduct within the executive ranks. Stop stuffing your pockets at others expense.

    Poor leadership, and no room for advancement

    ProsVery liberal with hours worked and time off requests

    ConsPoor management and poor leadership.
    Pay is substandard. The managers make a lot of money, but they don't sell. Yet, they push you to sell more and they are never happy, even when you kick butt in a month.
    Avoid working here if at all possible.

    Advice to Senior ManagementPay the producers more. Implement profit sharing. Quit leading from the rear and lead by example. Management thru fear and intimidation is not productive.
