I worked at Beekley as an intern (less than an year)

    Pros

Great corporate culture, everyone is extremely friendly and helpful. Work life balance is fine and everybody knows your name!

    Cons

Salespeople are territorial. Salaries are lower than for comparable positions at larger firms due to the size of the company.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Spend a little bit less time in meetings and more time accomplishing tasks.

I have been working at Beekley full-time (more than 10 years)

    Pros

    Excellent co-workers, real team environment

    Cons

The Culture- There are some "lifers" here at Beekley who have never known any other workplace and are desperate to hold onto traditions from many years ago that no longer fit with the times. The culture that they rave about here is out of date and unrealistic.
Executive Board - People with irrelevant past experience beyond Beekely who bring little to the table. Think sorority.
Wages- base salary is ridiculously low with promises and no one makes what they were promised at hiring time
Shareholders- Beekley sets ridiculous goals because it is more concerned with keeping the profit margins looking good for the shareholders and the employees wind up going without and losing money
Employee Treatment- Employees are treated like young, clueless people new to the workforce and the level of micromanaging is getting ridiculous.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Wake up. You have excellent people here who want to stay. Pay them a liveable wage, be more flexible with your time off/work from home policy, treat us like adults and get over yourselves with the whole culture thing. Just be kind to people, let them do their job, and accept them for who they are. Times are changing and this company seems to be permanently stuck in the mid-20th century. Without some changes made very quickly, it will either be sold or acquired.

I worked at Beekley full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

Friendly co-workers. Family oriented. Decent hours.

    Cons

Low pay. You get the "talk" if you express opinion differ from others. Since there is a 90 day probation period, you constantly get new sales people all the time. Have to follow a script while selling even if the script does not work on every customer.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Increase pay. Not so micro-managing.
