    Pros

Excellent Market to exceed work goals.

    Cons

Retail hours do not promote a health family life.

    Advice to Management

Compensation is minimal for new hires, and not based on experience in related field.

    Pros

Seeing a finished project, knowing I contributed to a sales boost, the employee discount, the friends I've made

    Cons

I hate the politics of the place. I hate having to be friends with someone I can't stand, just so that they don't say anything negative to the store manager. I was thrown into my job without training, and the manager is emotionally unstable as she is incompetent.

    Advice to Management

Leave your offices. Talk to your employees. Find a solution to the problem, rather than hunting down the perpetrator. Drop the elitist attitude. Show associates, don't just tell them. Train people, don't throw them to the wolves. Suggest, don't criticize.

    Pros

discount is okay especially double discount.

    Cons

pitiful raises...19 cents after i run all over the store, really?

    Advice to Management

Hire dependable people! Filter out everyone under 30 then look at those applications.

    Pros

They have a great employee discount

    Cons

Schedule changed even during the week once schedule was posted, not enough people working during shifts so sales associates are working long shifts with customers waiting in long lines at the register as they get angry and fitting rooms are left with overflowing clothes and mess, associate in my department continued to leave the sensor tags all around register so I would go in and be poked by them as I tried to clean them up, it's a very unwelcoming atmosphere and you are just thrown out there on your own with very little training, having it count against employees when they bypass the email or phone number of customers because they don't want to give that information, and many other issues

    Advice to Management

Have a new employee work with someone who is knowledgeable and who doesn't criticize and gossip about other employees, and let them know they will be training someone. Don't just walk out on the floor, introduce the new employee to them, and tell them that day that they are going to have someone shadow them when they are trying to get their bearings in a completely moved around department during a remodel.

    Pros

The discount you receive plus being able to see new items when they come in. It's nice to work in mall and places to go durning breaks.

    Cons

The younger you are the more hours and weekends you have to work. Older associates get to choose their times and you are stuck with what is left over.

  8. Hard work.

    Pros

DISCOUNT DISCOUNT DISCOUNT DISCOUNT DISCOUNT. Some employees hold stuff until it gets to the lowest markdown they can afford then they buy it, the double discount days are the best. Their employyees would have to wear rags to work if they didn't provide the huge discounts.

    Cons

Too many to list.--no incentive to make a career of retail at the entry level.

    Advice to Management

Pay your employees the way other businesses do. Start with a "experienced rate" and give merit raises for performing above and beyond the required duties. 3-5% yearly raise. If everyone from full-time to part-time had to be responsible for inventory maintenance and markdowns, more of a TEAM effort may evolve??Minimum wage should not exist in retail. No opinion on upper management due to insufficient information. New registers needed that will prevent employee errors. The current system is an embarrassment.
