I worked at Bell Canada full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

    - The PEOPLE were the only reason I came to work. Kind, fun, outgoing and supportive at ALL times
    - A few years ago the promotional structure was SOLID..until new leadership came in and destroyed the family way of doing things.
    - Management Team (front-line) are the best people on earth, understanding, appreciative and supportive, anything higher are complete puppets.

    Cons

    - Senior management (Tier C and above)
    - Pay
    - Commission is a joke i.e For a sales engine giving less than 2% of monthly revenue made for the company shows a pressure on the units future.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Get to know your front-line and stop trusting your puppets you place in management roles because your too busy to get your own hands dirty. You wont believe what you would actually find

I worked at Bell Canada full-time (more than 8 years)

    Pros

To have a job and good benefits.

    Cons

I needed therapy after this job. I was oppressed, threatened and bullied. The last thing Bell cared about were the customers. The employees that excelled in this job were the people that were the best able to manipulate and take advantage of people.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Stop out sourcing jobs oversees and deceiving the public by saying you are serving proudly from Canada when you are not. Treat your employees like human beings.

    Pros

The Bell name does get you into places that working for other companies might not get you into. When working with manufacturers and partners the Bell weight carries very much.

    Cons

Bell has no problems wiping out whole departments just because. The customer is last person in mind when making any decisions. Shareholders will always be number 1!!

    Advice to ManagementAdvice
