I have been working at Bell Canada full-time for more than a year

    Pros

BCE has strong leadership, an excellent brand, and commendable stock results over the last 5 years. There are some good opportunities for lateral movement with incremental upwards mobility if you are looking for a role that best suits you. Compensation is fair for an organization of this type.

    Cons

Bell Business Markets (BBM) is a challenged division, and it shows in the leadership shuffles and "culture of escalation". If you are in a CP3 position, be prepared for "yanking on the chain" on a regular basis. This culture can be stressful if you allow it to be. Work / Life balance can be a problem due to chronic under staffing.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

BBM needs an identity beyond the traditional telecom provider. Sales pushes to make the company all things to all customers with a cheque book, and this is not a recipe for success in the long term.

Do a handful of things, but do them well!

I worked at Bell Canada full-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

Spent many years at Bell Canada in the marketing organization, and had the privilege of working with some extraordinary people. Great opportunity for development with courses and new roles. Decent salaries, with great incentive programs including RSUs and achievement incentive programs. Great data is available to support decision-making.

    Cons

Lots of organizational changes. The move to the Mississauga campus was challenging for some, as public transit from downtown Toronto takes a long time. The call-centres have been under a lot of pressure for some time as the result of reductions.
