jobs being outsourced left right and center. regardless of union or not they are being sent overseas. no job security.
Advice to Senior Management
keep the jobs in canada!
hire within the company and work towards working together vs just cutting costs.
value is within our country, not BELL INDIA.
Pros
Exposure to New Telecommunication Technologies
Relaxed Environment (Work from Home using VPN)
Great co-workers
Lots of Restaurants in Toronto downtown underground
Cons
Sometimes it gets boring (redundant testing for all different DSL modems)
For co-op student employees, compensation is slightly below average
Advice to Senior Management
Bell Canada is pretty doing good. They mainly compete against Rogers Communications in the fields of Wireless, High Speed Internet, and TV Services. In some ways, they compete but also co-operate to make customers pay more.
Pros
Bell Canada provides very great work environment where friendly and great freedom. Also, she provide employee some chance to continue further education.
Cons
However, Bell Canada pays low cost and salary. Sometimes, I need to work overtime. Moreover, I often work at night for trouble shooting.
Advice to Senior Management
Please make money and give more money to employees. Moreover, please do not push the employee too much and understand employee's situation.
Pros
good benefits
lots of opportunity to move around if you perform well in your role
employee discounts
there are good leaders within the organization, but not all leaders are the same
Training courses
Cons
compensation varies dramatically from one person to another. in many cases, the manager makes less than their employees and there's no way to change that.
very difficult to remove individuals especially those who have not performed well. simply firing someone is not so simply anymore
Advice to Senior Management
there needs to be something done about compensation and removal of individuals who are not performing well. the process cannot take up to 2 years for something to happen as it seems be that way today.
Pros
great benefits for a part time job, flexible hours, uncapped salary,
industry leader, great technical, team, customer support
Cons
Hiring Freeze
No promotions from retail to advanced careers
Advice to Senior Management
Recognize your retail staff more, theres alot of hidden talent within these frontline staff.
Pros
We can enjoy Work Life Balance
Cons
Not Competitive Salary as compare to market
Pros
Discount, great people and get to learn a lot
Cons
too much politics and too many people doing the same thing
Advice to Senior Management
reward employees accordingly
Pros
Latest Technology with good hands-on pratice.
Cons
work Schedule has to be properly assigned
Advice to Senior Management
Ask Employe also what they think about work. There advise can be helpful too. Over all its good place to work without any major pressure.
Pros
Used to be an excellent place to work, until Expertech took a 44% pay cut on the last contract, and Bell is trying to cut even more with this contract.
Cons
As an Expertech employee, Cope refuses to invest back into the frontline technicians that have built the Bell network, just to satisfy his own pocket book! Corporate Greed! Stealing from the revenue generators of the company to satisfy share holders.
Advice to Senior Management
Treat your frontline technicans with more respect and come to the realization that we are the people that continually build the network for the end customer. If you continue to cut our wages and more, we will strike back! You won't get the hard work or dedication that has been given to this point!
