Pros
Competitive Compensation; Climate of teamwork; The company provides lots of technical training and there are opportunities to advance your career.
Cons
Culture was still 20th century in many ways, however, progress is being made. Now that the company is owned by AT&T, the work place is not as people friendly and has more of a "big government" feel.

Advice to Senior Management
Learn how to communicate with your staff as well as the consumers.
Pros
Overall the job was challenging at time but thats what make the job fun. no two jobs were alike. I learned a lot in my field of work and regardless of what people say the pay was good.
Cons
Company should focus more on the customers than just numbers, they should also motivate workers the right way instead of offering prizes. thats just sending the wrong signal. Motivate first then technicians with the aptitude will perform.
Advice to Senior Management
Upper management should seek technicians ideas and opinions instead of just implementing rules that keeps changing every few weeks. managers should ride with technicians randomly to and see first hand what we deal with on a daily basis with plant and customers
Pros
Learning from others; Ability to grow and move about departs; Vacation and Time off was flexible; Ability to work from Home
Cons
BellSouth was acquired by AT&T while I was employed there and the transition was not very smooth.
Advice to Senior Management
Recognize the talent you have and award based on work ethic and ability to perform job; not tenure at the organization
Pros
BellSouth is a gigantic company. It's very easy to blend into the woodwork and collect a paycheck. This is definitely a corporation that encourages "lifers". There is an abundance of people that collect a paycheck but are virtually non existent.
Cons
BellSouth is full of talentless assclowns. They have the budget to conquer the world but their leadership is severely lacking. You have talented contractors being tasked by idiots who spend their time thinking up new buzzwords and TPS reports.
Advice to Senior Management
Keep on doing what you're doing. Heck of a job fellas.
