Pros
Good benefits package
Paid vacation time
Community involvement
Best products and warranties
Cons
Unfairness in promotions
Fewer vacation days than most companies
Overpriced products hard to sell
Favoritism...at it's best!
Advice to Senior Management
Treat with respect to earn it...promote the best; not your favorite!
Pros
Its a hourly job
They will pay you on time.
If you are retired part timer it's an ideal job.
Cons
Commission stats.... only about 10-15% of the people earn it.
The other 80% is using the revolving door.
Advice to Senior Management
The 5 page Employee Team brochure has the word "Team" written in it once.
Pros
Fair pay for relatively easy work.
Cons
Too much power play.
Employees treated as a number as opposed to a person.
Advice to Senior Management
Rethink the "final written" warning on something as trivial as features and benefits.
Pros
Extremely open environment which focuses on merit as opposed to politics. Upper management always accessible and willing to meet with employees from all levels of organization. Great focus on employee recognition, with lots of reward programs and just being told "good job" on a daily basis. You are able to see the impact of your work here, and always know where you stand with management. Company is very fiscally responsible and has been able to keep hiring, even in the midst of this recession.
Cons
Salary is great, but current health benefit packages are lacking. There is talk of offering expanded choices in 2011, so this may change.
Advice to Senior Management
Hire more support personnel in the marketing department, rather than rely on transient contractors so much. Otherwise, great job communicating the vision and steering the company for growth.
Pros
Got paid commission for every job, so the more you worked the more you made. Plus you have a guarantee salary.
Cons
A glass installer doesn't make that much money. It's the entire industry not just Safelite. It's a lot of labor for little pay.
Advice to Senior Management
No advice, this is my favorite glass company to work for and I will continue to have my glass repaired from them.
Pros
The work environment is completely professional and very fast pace. Each day you knew what you were going to encounter.
Cons
Inbound calls from complaining customers will always have you on the edge and make you want to yell at them.
Advice to Senior Management
Have a more flexible schedule and less strict on the attendance policies. More Job Coaches would be great and beneficial.
Pros
short hours
as much over-time you need,
Cons
management needs to learn the real meaning of integrity
stop lying to employers to get them into safe lite
learn the 7-habits of highly effective people
Advice to Senior Management
take a good look into a mirror and ask yourself before you come to work am I my Brothers Keeper then go home look back into the mirror before you close your day and answere the Question with INTEGRITY in MIND
