Pros

Discounts for you and your friends, and a real close ties between employer and employees. Get to taste all the ice cream and find about a the social things that Ben and Jerry's work on.

Cons

It was very seasonal job. High turnover. Sometimes the people can be difficult, coworkers and customers. I worked for a local franchise, so I guess that is to be expected.

Advice to Senior Management

Make sure that all the employees are on the same page. Pay more for multi-taskers! Hire cake decorators! That's all.

Lots of free ice cream, which was great, and the brand itself has an appealing sense of humor that rubs off on customers.

Keep it up you guys kick butt. Serving ice cream and saving the environment is my thing man. I love it!!

Pros

This is a fun job and the fellow employees are great, I think corporate Ben and Jerrys is great, however there should be a more watchful eye on the franchisees, because they are the true image of B n Js.

Cons

Franchisees dont pay well, my particular boss is very disrespectful, two faced, and unprofessional when it comes to boss/employee relations.;

I think you would watch your franchisees more closely, Katie, the regional adviser for the northeast should visit more often then she does.

Pros

The only thing great about this job was it didn't require much work but after a while you want to actually work.

Cons

extrememly low pay... They do not believe in raises (even when someone has only had 5 days off in 6 months whole working 50+ hours a week and most 11 hour days) while attending college full time

I would advise management to look into their practices more because if they continue they way they are it will not be good for them in the near future
