To meet all kinds of top people, 1st tier vendors, global customers all over the world to exchange the latest information of the market. Has world class level product marketing strength and experience. Lots of on job training opportunities for different job position rotation

Keep changing and no concrete center thought. Top management is uncertain for the direction of each product line and hardly doing things right. Always asks for the ROI but never thinks about no pay no gain. This is a "you pay but might be no gain" world. If you don't pay, what's the chance you will gain?!
Advice to Senior Management
Never ever think you were right just because you are the boss.

BenQ took over from Siemens in October 2005. There was a period of confusion, but by January it was obvious they had no plans to continue the brand. The contract they signed promised they would keep the development center open for a year; on day 366 they closed it and laid off all the workers.
I got out earlier, in March. I had been doing Java porting work, but after the takeover there was nothing to do. In February they announced they were dropping internal support for Java, and would get it from an outside consultant. We were moved into simple applications, doing junior-level work. I quit after a month - it should have been faster.
Advice to Senior Management
1) try to compute your benefit by looking at the resources you produce for lots of people instead of how much you can make by shafting an entire company
2) be careful about identifying yourself as a BenQ manager if you ever are walking down a dark alley in Germany
