Pros
The technology was constantly advancing and changing based on the latest health care reform guidelines. The staff was friendly and easy to work with. I enjoyed my time at BenefitMall.
Cons
The distance from my house was too far, which is why I left.
Advice to Senior Management
Keep up the great national reform efforts.

Cons
Below average and costly benefits

Working conditions need to be updates/upgraded
Work/Life balance non existent
Pros
Its good for those who are not looking for career growth but want to be stable in one position.
The company seems to be doing well in the market.
Cons
Very hard on work timings , no flexibility for doctor appointments or other emergencies.
They don't encourage internal promotion, there by no motivation amongst the team members.
Team building in not promoted within the company, everyone is kind of reserved and territorial.
Very poor traning is provided to the new employees/consultants.
Management clearly take their employees for granted, hence there is a large employee turnover.
Advice to Senior Management
Senior Management needs to loosen up and treat their employees with respect.
Spend more time with your employees to explain the business needs etc.
Provide a positive environment for your team.
Pros
This company had one of the best training directors / departments that I have had the pleasure of experiencing. They need to use it more often!!
Cons
Several Sr. Managers are very disrespectful and degrading to their employees. There is no place for yelling within the workplace. Overall, it was an unhealthy, toxic environment.
Advice to Senior Management
Management needs to treat their employees with respect and recognize that employees need a work / life balance. All too often, employees are expected to put BenefitMall before home, family and other priorities. Also, I cannot stress the importance of BETTER communication within departments, between departments and within this organization as a whole.
Pros
BenefitMall was a very welcoming company starting from day one. The experience I gained from working in Marketing for several years truly helped me establish a strong career path. I felt both challenged and competent to handle various projects, work with different management levels and manage my day-to-day tasks. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend BenefitMall as an employer - Senior Management wants to know their employees and takes the time to do just that, there are always new learning experiences as many new projects present themselves, and I had fun!
Cons
The company culture could use a boost.
Pros
BenefitMall has an easy going atmosphere with wonderful people. In my experience, everyone is treated fairly and with respect. Great place to work, best job I have ever had.
Cons
Better communication between departments. Same dress code issued throughout the company.
Advice to Senior Management
Doing a great job!
Pros
BenefitMall provides the perfect enviroment for professionals to develope and hone the skills needed to succeed in business. Senior management takes the time to teach and guide employees looking to advance their careers. Over the past several years, BenefitMall has positioned itself to be a thought-leader in the complex insurance industry. Throughtout the President's campaign for health insurance reform, BenefitMall found a way to keep customer's and employees up-to-date with the latest regarding the reform efforts.
Cons
Communication between deparments should be more consistent.
Pros
Probably learning something new within the healthcare industry.
Cons
Poor senior management communication and direction.
Advice to Senior Management
Communicate with your employees
Pros
The atmosphere is professional, warm and respectful. People take pride in their work and are very team focused. Management is very supportive of personal growth objectives and works to help employees reach their full potential in a constructive positive way.
Cons
Haven't seen anything I would consider a downside. We are a professional dress code company so be prepared to take pride in your appearance and yourself.
Advice to Senior Management
Keep heading down the road you are on and you will continue attracting stellar employees!
Pros
Great office. Free soda/coffee. Fairly good balance work/life, i.e. not a lot of after hour requests. The company is doing really well.
Cons
I was a contractor there so the comments are from that perspective. There was very clear distinction between contractors and employees. Nobody cared about the contractors and they were treated coldly. People don't go out to lunch often and when they take you out, nobody ever offered to pay, even when they said they are taking you out for lunch. People don't socialize after work and are very territorial. Management seems nice but I have seen them yelling at contractors in front of everyone for small mistakes, very unprofessional.
Advice to Senior Management
Respect your employees.
Understand the true workload, if you don't need contractors, don't hire them and pay them to sit around, it is bad for both you and them.
Know your staff, they might be good but not necessarily the best in the game. Therefore being territorial will end up hurting you in the long run.
